i didn't know exactly where to post this so please don't be hard on me.

i found two programs that i think will be helpful, Giffy and UnFreez

Giffy converts bmp to gif but it loses less quality (if at all) then if you manually did it. (Save as>Save as type) bmps take forever to load, so we convert them into smaller and more manageable files. bmps are effin' big, especially noticeable when loading on a comp with dial-up. mad.gif
it can also create transparent, non-transparent, interlaced, and non-interlaced gifs.
i think the way they tell you convert them is hard to understand, so i'll tell you the easier way to convert them (or click here in case you're making transparent and/or interlaced ones).
Just simply right-click the bmp image then "GiFFY. Convert to GIF"

UnFreez is a tiny gif animation program. it doesn't take up as much space as animation shop and is very easy to use. but in case you need a tutorial, here it is. :)

I love GiFFY, I promote it any chance I get. :) It's probably the best free software I ever had before I bought photoshop.
