I just graduated from Jr High and I am pretty excited to go to high school. I'm looking forward to meeting more people and joining as many fun clubs as possible

My freshman year just ended. At first I was all scared....it was weird having upperclassmen mixed in with other grades. After a while, I got used to it and was able to have more friends. The first few months of freshman year......my friend and I were pretty hyper and weird... huh.gif We would do the chicken dance in the middle of the hallway during lunch. tongue.gif Fortunally (sp?), I don't have the guts to do that or do anything else silly like that anymore.

i went to a small private school for 9 years. so going to a big public highschool was so different. when i came. i had no friends at all. i didnt knwo anyone sicne my mom told me i HAD to go there. i didnt even know it exhisted. i just wanted to be with my friends. i walked outside and theres just a bunch of kids smoking pot and what not. no one is very well mannered either. and i guess this is good for me. i WANT to be exposed to these kinds of things. its different. kind of diverse. im like one of the 5 asian people there. so thats really different because my old school had 3875753457 asians ad like 1 white person in eachclass. but i got to learn more about american culture. things i didnt really know people do. anyways. im gonna be a soph. next year. and i realise now that the friends i used to have, were no good. they lie and talk shit about you behind your back and then they tell you oh i miss you. gosh your so pretty.. wow. ANYWAYS. haha. =] yepp. you kinda start to find yourselfthough. i guess.

Wow. It's really a great experienced. i have 90% shit friends too.

I think it may depend on what kind of school you go to...

I'm now a senior in high school at an all girls, private school in Nashville, TN (same one reese witherspoon went to if you recognize the name "harpeth hall") but even though some people dont like it---I find that it's actually quite nice because as you get older in my school all the cliques start to dissolve and everyone (by the time you reach senior year) like knows everybody and its nice. Nashville is a big town, but as you get older it gets better. Almost everyone's parent is like in the music business so like saying "my dad works with so and so in country" really is no big deal.

I donno 9th grade was a little awful because we hadn't grown out of the whole clique deal yet, but like i said...just wait a little.

It might be different if you go to a public school cause my public school friends say they still deal with *groups* that tend to exclude people or whatever.

Wow TANGENTS. I don't even think i answered your question right.

Lonely alienated bored hated it x.x
Lunch was the worst because I couldn't find anyone to sit with so I sat alone. After that though, like 5 minutes later all senior asians came over to me...I felt cool =)

I wish I would of known everything I know now but ah well.. the first day I totally got lost and too make it even weirder my first class was AP so everyone looked alot older than me so I felt like such a child. Freshmen year was definately a learning period. I'm just happy too be a senior now and I love the fact that I have so many advantages because of it. All the work and hard times are worth it.

Couldn't agree with you more, dearest. Yeah, I felt awkward and lost when I first entered high school. I also had the deepest desire to become a part of that infamous "popular" crowd. But I was glad to realize throughout the year, that there weren't an of those cliques at my school. Everyone kind of just accepts you. But, as Lilly said, it was a learning period, no doubt.

So, what was/is your experience since you attend high school ( you were new and just graduate from middle school)
Mine .. it was quite wierd, different, and unsafe. I was kind of lost and couldnt find my classroom numbers and letters. I felt tired from walking just to look for it .. i'm not use to the classroom systems.

Yesterday, i saw a teen drop his paper w/ tobacco by accident( he pick it up .. after that.)  pinch.gif

i'm like .. whoah (in my head)

i just start summer school in H.S since MOnday.

cool.gif I was really afraid of what could happen during my freshman year. Uh-hmm, i was afraid of getting picked one because the style i was into. I was afraid that no one would become my friend, and i would get lost by trying to find my classes. It all turned out that i got boyfriend in September [we started in August] and then i had a bunch of great friends, and then now that 2005 is over. I lost most of the people i loved, and especially lost my boyfriend. I have no idea how i am going to survive this year, going to be a soph.

I knew a good bit of people since my sister had just graduated when I was becoming a freshman. It was ok. My whole year was stressed out though because people kept on starting rumors and being messy like they always do. I had fun though.

hm well i remember this one time when this one dude came up to a freshman girl and said "hey he (his friend) wants to lick your p_ssy"... but they were just joking.

well for me freshman year was just basically finding that group i belonged in [with my friends]. it was pretty much easy finding where classes were since the school's not so big. you realize the lunch line is neverending and so vending machines are your best friends. then you find out PE girl teachers are such bitches. everyone's quite tall. and yeah thats pretty much it.

it's always fun to give a piece of paper from a teacher to a freshie on the first day and tell them to take it to a nonexistant room.

My freshman year was pretty cool, although it went by fast. I had some people come with me from my old school, but none of them I was close with...all my close friends went to different highschools. I also didn't know any of the upper classmen, so yeah. It was pretty fun making new friends in every class tho.

Sophomore year kinda sucked..I hope my junior year isn't gonna be bad. The only good thing about my sophomore year was that I made some new friends too. happy.gif

I just wish the years wouldn't go by so fast...next thing I know I'm gonna be graduating, ahh.

Actually, to tell you the truth. I never really liked it. I have moved schools all my life, never staying for more than three years. When my parents wanted me to go to Milpitas High, I knew I had no choice. I didn't like it, but I went anyway. The first day of school was...okay. I didn't know anyone, and people were already in their small groups and clusters from the middle school across the street from the high school. (I went to a middle school two cities away...). Anyway, people were nice, sometimes. And others were just plain rude.
People don't really mind your business in high school. If you drop your books, no one helps you pick them up. Pranks, hurt feelings. Yeah, I guess you learn to deal with them as well.
High school was never easy for me. I'm going to be a sophomore this fall, but freshman year was torture. High school is cruel. It's hard to fit into small groups if you weren't there middle school.
Homework loads are heavy if you're taking heavy classes. But it really depends on your school.

I hate high school, I miss the comfort of my friends back at junior high. ):

I'm going to be a freshman starting august 15th.
I'm excited, yet loathesome.
I'm starting at a high school where I will know no one, and no one will know me.
It sure is killing me.
