This might be a stupid game but :

A person on CB has inspired me to create this game. This is how it goes

1. You just make up anything whether its wrong or right as long as it sounds scientifc.

2. Thats it , just one rule so Im going to start it off

Remember it doesn't have to be true just as long as it sounds scientific.

Did you know the rings around Saturn have massive gas which expand at a time dimensional rift of 3 FPS causing anything that comes in contact with it to cease to exist instantly. Also the plasma which surrounds the gas causes instantaneous meltdown at an acceleration of 20 Km per second. ohmy.gif

There are 4 levels of Parallel Universes

Level I- There are numerous multiverses. So many that somewhere there is a planet exactly like ours in every way

Level II- There are numerous multiverses that branch off for every possible change. i.e. you are going to get a soda. a universe is created for every possible outcome. sprite, coke, no soda, get some food instead. These universes are infinitely far away and the distance is expanding farther than it can be travelled.

Level III- Similar to the Level II except for where your double resides. Instead of infinitely far away they are right around you. I don't remember the reason, but something smart sounding prevents you from being able to ever see them

Level IV- states that for every possible mathematical equation there is a universe. One equation describes ours, so there are others that describe other universes. All mathematical structues exists physically somewhere.

Taipei 101 is the Current #1 Engineering Wonder of the World.

Capitalizing common nouns make them proper nouns, thus making the noun sound much more important than it really is.

A piece of cloth's color is darker when wet because the water droplets are forcing the light to scatter and reflect in different directions, thus giving off a weaker or darker color than its original.

Interesting random thought I had a few months ago. Just a thought:

Consider the elongation of perceived time moments before serious injury...Now consider what might happen right before death...Imagine a graph like Y=1/2to the power of X, or any graph like it that approaches Y=0 asymptotically. Now imagine "real" time until death on the Y axis and "perceived time elapsed" on the X axis...As "real" time counts down to death, perceived time slows, elongates. But it keeps on slowing down...death-Y=0,the asymptote-is never perceived by the person who is dying...The person's psychological defense mechanisms kick in, causing him/her to have a dream, the beginning of which may be what so many have called "near death experiences"...Since the person never dies (from his/her perspective), the dream lasts forever....The person may dream of heaven or hell or w/e... As time goes on, mental function degenerates slowly into chaos...Getting close to death but never actually getting there...The idea is kind of like Newton's Law of Cooling or radioactive decay... It does not ask for the existence of the supernatural...It sort of fits the Law of Uniformity of Nature...But in essence it is no better than any other beliefs about death...Just an random interesting thought...Maybe some atheists will like it...(I'm agnostic.)

There are two types of seeds- Monocot and Dicot (the -cot stands for cotyledon) Monocots have one cotyledons and dicots have two cotyledons. Cotyledons are the buds inside the seed before it starts growing. An example of Monocot is corn and an example of Dicot is beans.

Aaah, the wonders Biology will do on your brain.

The Gravitational Constant

Did you guys know that the Gravitational Force on the Earth is 9.8 newtons. ohmy.gif You can verify this answer by using the Gravitational Constant which numbers varies from different lab experiments. The Gravitational Constant usually comes out to around 6.7 times 10 to the negative eleventh power.

Your final answer should have units of Newtons since we are dealing with finding force. So the units of the Gravitational Constant are (newtons times meters squared) divided by (kilograms sqared)

In order to make this all cancel out you need a forumula to do so. In other words you have to find quantities which do not use newtons so that newtons can be left over. Also the other quantities should be the same as the gravitational constant minus the newtons but on the oppisite side of the division signs. In other words what was in the denominator should be in the numerator or vice versa.

Therefore the Gravitational Force Law is this forumula

Force of Gravity = (Gravitational Constant)(Mass of Object)(Mass of the Earth) / (Distance squared)

Now everything cancels out to just newtons because Mass has standard units of kilograms and distance have standard units of meters. If a value were in kilometers or anything else you would have to convert to meters. If a value were in grams or anything else you would have to convert to kilograms.

Now all you simply have to do is plug everything into your faithful TI and watch magically as 9.8 newtons appear unless you do something wrong.

The mass of the earth is = 6 x 10^24 kilograms
The radius of the earth is = 6.4 x 10 ^6 meters
Mass of the object in this case is = 1 kilogram
Gravitational Constant = 6.7 x 10^ -11

Note: Do not forget to square the distance.

This also works for testing the gravitational force for two objects at a certain amount of distance apart.

For instance you can test a 5 kilogram ball and a 3 kilogram ball a 2 meters apart which should come out around 2.5 x 10^-10 newtons for both balls. The reason it is the same for both balls because Newton’s third law (reprocity) states the force object one exerts on object two is equal and opposite to the force of the second object. Also remember the gravitational constant is used in the problem and never changes because it is constant. I guess thats why its call the gravitational constant. I crack myself up. anyways, i just though of tihs.

If B follows A, when are justified in saying A caused B? And having made the claim that A caused B, what exactly have we asserted? Since Hume destroyed the causal base of empirical observation and distinguished between causal expectation and cause, the problem of cause has been a philosophical raw end in science. If we develop a general theory of psychology embracing all, then this problem must arise somewhere within it and be resolved by it.
