..... Did you recently change the file extension/name of it? If so, it may be corrupted.

Don't spam.

That used to happen to me when I saved a .psp file with a vector layer in Photoshop and then tried opening it in Paint Shop Pro. Anyway. If I were you, I'd copy the file (so i don't lose it) and then fiddle with the file extensions. Although probably not the greatest solution, I do it all the time. mellow.gif Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

But, sorry to be a pessimistic realist, I don't think you'll get it back; life's like that sometimes.

i havent saved it as jpg or gif yet...its still in psd b/c i was putting in finishing touched and everything was still in layers but then i closed PS and it asked if i wanted to save the changes made to the psd and i clicked yes..but right after PS closed down i turned off the computer using the main switch and not from the start menu b/c my mom walked in and i wasnt sposed to be using the computer...so i think maybe the file was lost b/c i didnt shut it off correctly..? but i didnt know that would affect PS b/c the PS prgrm was already closed...so...theres absolutely no way to retrieve the file..?!

The hard drive probably didn't have enough time to process your request
to save the file because it was a big file.
You turned off your comp too soon and it wasn't finished yet.
Corrupted file.

Maybe on the web there is some sort of recovery program.
Really sorry to hear that all your hard work may be lost.

^ ... that's messed up. She spent hours on working on that thing, and vectors are great pieces of artwork.

I don't know what happened, but, it happened to me once too, in illustartor while i was vectoring, but i think next time, try saving 2 files. thats what i did and it worked.
