This goes outside of your GLOBAL_HEAD tags. Make sure you have a website specified in your user info.

Beware with div layers though; Sometimes IE somehow ignores the code, but shows up when you minimize the window size, then appears.

I'd suggest using CSS positioning with span style, for a sidebar instead.
It works in all browsers, but you might have to include a firefox html> compatibility work for it to work as it should in firefox.

I guess it depends on what the code is, because I always check both browsers and I've never had a problem with it. *shrug*

Could you explain how to do this? I am having this problem with IE.

The only thing I see missing is this after the closing DIV tag:

That usually fixes my problem. If that still doesn't work, let me know - maybe your code is different.

It appears she fixed whatever problem she had, as her website works in firefox and ie.

That code didn't help my problem with IE. The nav bar works great in Firefox, but in IE it doesn't show until you resize the page and then it makes the page very long.

=\ It looks fine to me in both Firefox and in Internet Explorer. It could be your screen resolution (I doubt it, but it could be). Take a screenshot, maybe?

I tryed different resolutions and nothing changed.

1.) It didn't like your background - I fixed that for you, you'll find the links to the pictures uploaded to my photobucket account. You can save those and upload them again, just let me know when you do so I can delete them.
2.) I had to add just a couple of things so the font would show up properly and the links would be the right colors.

Anyway, it should look the way you want it to now.

Yes, I know that. It's a lot easier for someone to take the code by just clicking in a box and copying it, than it is to go through the page source and put it all together though. Let’s end this here, this is off topic.

Is there any particular layout you're supposed to be working with to create a sidebar, generator or punquin elegant for example? The code posted by Libertie is not working for me.

Generally, with the codes libertie posted, they should be used in generator.
