it looks okay, but it feels like something is missing, most likely due to that relatively large empty spot on the left. maybe use more pictures? also, i don't really think the font fits the image very well.

The blend looks nice, but I dunno, I feel like it's missing something. Maybe some brushes would help.

The images you used of Ashanti are really pretty, and the checkered background is so cool. I also like the pretty colourization that you did over the whole blend; it looks super cool. Awesome, Alvin.

Try not to use colors that clash together. Using the rainbow gradient sort of throws it off too. Since the font is pink, maybe you can make the whole image shades of pink and the brushes different shades of pink as well. Or black even. No rainbows. You shouldn't have cut off the hair. The middle is empty as a result. Even though it's supposed to be that way, it doesn't look good. Maybe adding one more image to it would look nice. :)

Since Nyah-chan's new obsession is textures.... I think it would look better with something over it. The image is too smooth.... =/
With only two pictures, this is where you start playing with blending modes more than the blending.
The gradient should be behind her. =/ She looks sick with the green overlay.
It's so pastel.... A more script-y, elegant font would have been far more appropriate. Like... Splendid ES or Edwardian Script.
Add an intresting border. I'm not talking about a simple stroke border, I mean.... Like a torn border or whatever.
----
Okay, yeah.... I must sound so bad. >.<

^Yep, here and here (under "resources") are two that I can think of off the top of my head.

edit: this site has a few links that say if they have textures, the one called "classic.tere-art.com" has some really nice ones.

Click the image and you'll see that the checkered effect came from it being a thumbnail, there's actually no background. And the "colourization" is actually a gradient overlay. huh.gif Sorry if I sound bratty, sad.gif.

I think it would look better if you left the hair of the right image.
