ok, i keep trying to make images without a background. i've done it before, but not on psp 9. i used the erase background tool & got the pic just how i wanted. but when i go to save it, it never stays as no background. i know that you have to save as a gif, & that's what i've been doing. what am i missing?
or does the erase background tool not the right way to do it? plz help |

the erase tool for erasing the background doesn't work that way... i usually only use that tool to paste another image onto another image...without having to blend and stuff
... first fill in the space you want transparent with a color... like #0dff01 go to file>export>gif optimizer> click transparency> make sure that areas that match this color is selected>and make sure the color is what ever color you...filled it with (#0dff01) > and then click ok > save |

Save it as .PNG with transparency. It's far higher quality and you can reuse the cut-out again if you so wish.
