Don't you just hate the silent treatment? When your friend gets mad at you and stops talking to you and just ignores you? That just pisses me off and makes me sad. It gets me depressed for weaks.
Discuss.

I don't do that, I talk about it. And if I don't want to then I tell them.

But I don't like getting it>_<

my friend did that to me a few times before in the past. it's mostly because they just need awhile to cool down about what happened, but we eventually talk it out somehow and i guess everything usually works out in the end. it does make me sad though because it hurts knowing that they just couldn't come to me-- since they mostly go to other people to discuss the situation first. i'd rather have them come to me first but it's alright if they ask someone for a little help i suppose...

Yes, especially when you don't know what the reason was in the first place. Of course, you can't talk to them, because they're giving you the silent treatment. Ah, the torture.

Totally. Actually this has never happened to me because I probably don't want to talk to them anyway.

Or I'm the one who gives others the silent treatment. rolleyes.gif

I'm not physically able to pull off a silent treatment for my life. But when other immature idiots give me the silent treatment I smack them. Violence solves everything!! Ok, that was one time! I usually end up having to talk through a chain of friends to stop the silent treatment.

my friend did that to me for about a month.
i guess she thought i "stole" two of her friends.
after a while, she started to warm up to me.
i don't know whether to fully trust her now, but i'm trying my best.
yeah, the silent treatment is never good.
for Christ's sakes, just be direct and tell others what problem you have against them.

I've done it once to a friend, but that was because I tried talking to her so many times, yet still, she wouldn't stop being so rude, annoying, mean, etc. So I did it, and since I was one of her only friends, she came back to me. Hey, no one's going to be perfect, but I started talking to her again, and she was a lot nicer. I'm not saying I'm the only one who's right though. I just think the silent treatment should only be used when you've already tried talking to him/her.

yeah. i agree. silent treatment is the worste. i hate it because then you dont know what you did wrong. then you have to write notes to eachother, which is so dumb because you can talk much faster than writing notes. too bad friends arent perfect. ermm.gif
