Does the Java work for everybody? I've also been told about some alignment problems, but, to the best of my knowledge, I have fixed them.

_ The background doesn't really match the picture on the left. The bg is pretty dark with shades of yellow and orange while the pic on the left is blue. Personally the bg doesn't match the whole "cold and refreshing" theme since when you think sunset and beach, its more.. warm.
_ The rain java effect doesn't really make sense on that picture either because since you're already underwater there wouldn't be any rain effects... _ Why would you remove the xanga toolbar just to put one of your own up? _ The background cuts off too suddenly for users on higher resolutions _ Some kind of border between the bg and the rest of the content would be good, maybe eve a black border |

I tired, but couldn't figure out how to put a border around the whole thing, and tables pushed the blog to the bottom of the page.
Blue and orange compliment each other, so I used a sunset background. The thing with the pool and the beach - the theme is more Summer, and I renamed it. The water effect, I just found it cool... I didn't remove the Xanga ad. Xanga gave me a free Premium trial. Could you please send me a screenshot of how it looks with the background cut off? |

The reason i ask is because it's a picture of a pool and you have a beach in the background? It would create a more consistent theme if you found a picture of people underwater at a beach. |

I'll try to find an underwater beach picture. I was thinking more along the lines of an island resort: beach, beachhouse, pool. But I'll look.

The rain effect made me smile, hehe. It's fun to play with. The design doesn't go for me. There's so many photos... It's just really busy. I suggest getting rid of the background and adding a solid colour, a really simple repeating background. Since you think orange and blue match (actually they do!), then you should use orange. The Xanga bug thing is funny, but for the sake of design, I'd omit it. Perhaps you can save it for another layout that's main theme is Xanga and its bugs? :)

I love it, especially the banner. Nice colours too, they're spunky-looking.
