If you get an AIM plug-in like Middle_Man, you can select an option that logs all of your conversations in IM windows and chat rooms, and it also logs people's profiles so you can view their profile when their offline.
Other than that, I don't think so.

Err...I don't think you can get back a conversation once the window has been closed. :\ I've wanted to do that a couple times before, too. I guess if it's that important, you should just save it before you close it. :\

//Edit

Um...nevermind. pinch.gif

It should...
I'm not sure if AIMutation logs IMs, but if it does, then go to your AIM folder and click 'Logs' and a list of all the people you talked to should be in there... if not, then I don't know.

Yeah, I have AIM mutation too, and it logs conversations. If you want to check them, you can always either go to your AIM folder, and there should be a folder called logs. You can also check the logs on your buddy list by just clicking on the ‘My AIM’ menu and selecting ‘Log Manager…’ or right clicking on a buddy’s name and selecting ‘Log Manager…’ from there.

Aww yeah I wish there is a way, but no. There isn't. Mines worse, I wanted to save up my past conversations, but I accidentally closed it. I got so mad because we talked nearly 2 hours. And I asked him if he still have the window, but he said no that he also closed it too. T_T --- It was an interesting conversation and nice nice nice one too.

i think you can. if you have dead aim. like you can search for a word from a convo and it gives you a list of convo's that had that word.

If you search in your AIM folder in Program Files or the folder you designated in your Preferences, you may be able to find it. You'll have to search though because it's happened to me before. If you have Google Desktop Search, it searches your AIM convos. You may be able to find it that way too.

i use gaim, primarily because it's open source, but also because it's better than trillian.

their are alot of programs out their currently for AIM to log conversations.

I used deadaim to log conversations. Also their are others including AIM+ I believe and aimutation, trillian and some others side-programs.

well for one, it's free. two, it uses less memory. and three, I find it easier to use.
