mellow.gif I live in Georgia. I don't have a southern accent. Nobody that lives in Atlanta or near Atlanta really has a southern accent, though. I actually don't like southern accents. They annoy me >:[

Hey, yo. I was born and raised in Southern Louisiana. I do NOT have a horrid accent and I rarely go barefoot. Actually, I rarely go outside. I live on my computer.

i live on the Florida Panhandle... It's the bible belt, here... =\ but, don't tell me i'm not southern because i can drive to AL and be there in an hour and a half. :x Yeah, there's a big difference between southerners and rednecks... sometimes I catch myself speaking like a southerner sometimes... like making certain words longer than they're supposed to... ack, it's just lKES godgjsdgi. ;]

i'm not a redneck.

Actually, a lot of the people here tend to shorten words by saying the 'i' vowel 'ai'.
Example: Hi= hah
bye= bah
tonight= tonahte

Haha, even I'll catch myself doing it sometimes. _unsure.gif

No, it's a Texas thing as well. I live about 15 minutes from the border so I go there a lot, and believe me. We talk about the same.
...then again, Texas is huge. It's probably just that area.

I was born in Chicago, Illinois and I live in Cleveland, Mississippi and I've lived here most of my life and I still haven't lost my Illinois accent, and I'm proud too.

Heehee that is great...

Well, if you met my moms side of the family....oh geez! massive southerners!
I dont have an accent....at all...
but alot of my moms side does, not my mom though, just her aunt and uncles and grandpas and old people like that. hahahaha
But my dads side doesnt have ANY southerners in his family, cause he was born in NY until he was 5.....
and North Carolina isnt really THAT southern. there are places you can go and meet some southerners here though. hahaha laugh.gif

I dont hate southerners, some are part of my family.
