aah I live in sweet home alabama, hah but i was born in IL. and yea i'm starting to talk like them too..and what you said about the sweet tea and marrying cousins...haha it's so true, everybody thinks that! and what's weird is everybody knows everybody.
so if your not like them they will most likely shoot you here

 I live in Georgia. I don't have a southern accent. Nobody that lives in Atlanta or near Atlanta really has a southern accent, though. I actually don't like southern accents. They annoy me >:[

i live on the Florida Panhandle... It's the bible belt, here... =\ but, don't tell me i'm not southern because i can drive to AL and be there in an hour and a half. :x Yeah, there's a big difference between southerners and rednecks... sometimes I catch myself speaking like a southerner sometimes... like making certain words longer than they're supposed to... ack, it's just lKES godgjsdgi. ;]

Actually, a lot of the people here tend to shorten words by saying the 'i' vowel 'ai'.
Example: Hi= hah bye= bah tonight= tonahte Haha, even I'll catch myself doing it sometimes.

No, it's a Texas thing as well. I live about 15 minutes from the border so I go there a lot, and believe me. We talk about the same.
...then again, Texas is huge. It's probably just that area. |
