Oh, I think it would look cute as a layout.
 Yeah, try it. Hm....I would try putting the navigation on the bottom border of the picture and image map them into links? I don't know. That's just a suggestion. Then you could put the blog underneath the banner. That's just my insight on it, but if you do decide to turn it into a layout, good luck with it!

Make the original image lightly smaller, expand your Canvas to either the left or right and put the blogs there.... Yeah.
I can see this as a very pretty layout. Although I don't like the original image. >.< I see it in a lot of places. |

the texts are really choppy, and i don't really like the pink with the anime pics. anyways, it's still alright. you should use some contrast, and it would look better.
