Ok, I made My Own Layout... Which Is right here...
http://www.geocities.com/wheaties0004/huge.jpg Well, I try to make it the background for my xanga.. but it always ends up looking like this... http://www.xanga.com/home.aspx?user=hilton2k10 Can anyone help me make it so that the full picture shows and so it doesn't cut off at the bottom. I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks |

first of all, your image takes quite a long time to load, and second, can i see the code you used for it. also, you can use the "how to make a xanga skin" to fix up your site to fit into your layout.

Ok, Well about the Image taking a while to load.. I was thinking about like chopping it up or something so it's a buch of smaller images that load, but i'm not sure if and how you could do that. Next, I don't really have a code, i set it as my background, but the only way i can make it so i can see the whole background is if i turn the font size really big. I thought you could just make a Div really low so that you could scroll all the way down and see the whole thing, but i guess not. Third, i'm gonna go look at that make a skin. LoL sorry i sound so new at this

QUOTE(xenosaga @ Jun 23 2005, 8:44 PM) I second that... My broswer froze... @_@ I'm pretty sure that it's cutting off because of your Xanga's content, because your image is in the background, you only see the part of the image that the content covers. If you had, let's say, a several paragraph entry, you would see more of your image. As for fixing that, how are you trying to fit your entries into your image? into the boxes? If so, I don't know of anyway to put seperate entries into all the different boxes you have, so I can't really help you there. You'll probably have to cut down your image if you don't have enough content to fit it. Whenever you make any sort of layout, you should try to remain within 780x600 pixel size, so that the whole thing fits all browsers. It's a nice image, btw. edit I just read that second post you had: you could use a div layer to make the whole image seen. I'm assuming you're talking about putting a whole bunch of lines so that it'll scroll all the way down as if you had text? You could also just put the image as the background of the div layer, that should work. |

what i was trying to do is get it to fit on the whole screen, and yes, it was because it was in the background. I think i got that covered. The only problem Is. The image is huge lol. I can't even load it myself anymore. So Does anyone know how i can sorta.. chop it up? so it loads as a bunch of smaller images?
Ok, I'll try that |

Ahh, okay. Are you using PS? If you are, just use your marquee tool to select parts of the image, copy it and paste it into another file and save... then just code it together so that it looks like one image. You could use a table or div layers.

You don't have to, you can just upload, but you can't look for your link later if you lose it and I don't think you can delete it either.
