first vexel, brandon flowers Options

So yea, I attempted once again to finish a vexel, and for the first time in my life, I actually finished through one fulll vexel! Yes, it's very cartooney, not very detailed, jagged at places, and not that great, but thats besides the point



I'm not sure if the time is correct, but the layers is.

i like it ALOT! its really good. (at least i think so. haha) but the image quality is kinda bad

It's good for your first! The cartoony look is something different than what you'd usually see on CB, but I still like it =] Try making the face color more bright and peachy, unless that was the look you were going for. Also try making your shapes more smooth and round. Great job overall =]

Yea, his face was kinda pale, I wanted to make it more peachy, but I decided to stick with the original color. Thanks for the comments

I'm really feelin the cartoon-y look. I think a lot of people are obsessed with making things look so *real* but its a cool effect to make them a little more cartoon-y. I love it. I do agree with you about the jaggedy edges, but I think it gives it character.

Yep, thats him, Brandon Flowers I'm so glad people can tell its him, while still having it look cartooney. I always thought those real looking vexels/vectors were at some point, cool but destoys the purpose of vexeling.

Ooh, it's excellent for your first! I love the whole cartoonish look of it. I would only suggest lightening the nose shadow a bit. Other than that, it looks pretty good to me.
