The best thing to have done, and I'm suprised no-one has mentioned it yet, is to spray the old guy with the pepper spray, or perfume and push him into some gutter and let him roll in pain, actually that may be a bit harsh. Yeah, also if you wanted, you could just push him over and run for it, or even walk away, I reckon he still wouldn't be able to catch you, afterall he is an old guy right? And yeah, you could have given him money and told him to turn round the corner and into the convenient store and buy himself a couple of dirty magazines to keep him occupied!
