grey or gray?

I spell it as "gray", because of what my 1st grade teacher told me. She said that you can spell it both ways, but to her "gray" makes more sense because you're making an "a" sound, so it makes sense to use an "a" instead of "e".

I don't know, really. I use gray usually...because of words like 'stay' and 'pray'...Wait, then again..there're words like 'prey'..Um, I'm not too sure.

hmm well i asked my mommy LOL (don't make fun >.<) she said:

grey - is the ENGLISH way[[you know old school type, ex. Color- Colour]]
gray- is the American way[[new school lols]]
green- now that's just plain wrong

Yup yup. I used to write gray, but I suppose I read one too many british/canadian books and I'm grey-ing all over the place. The "e" looked so more sophisticated, methinks. But I don't say colour, favourite, centre, theatre, honour, or cheque. Nyah biggrin.gif LOL!

since i have a friend with the last name gray i would spell the color like grey. but i guess it depends on my mood because i might spell it 2 diferent ways in 1 paragrapgh lol
