Has anyone noticed that in almost every magazine you see, there's an article on losing weight? ><

Yeah, gain weight the healthy way.
That'd be cool. But kind of odd.
Haha

Ugh, I know! On almost every magazine, the cover always has something on how to lose weight/inches or whatever.. I mean it's good and all, but it's to the point where it's everywhere and can make people think they should lose some.

i don't know, but it's helping me right now, because i have to go stretches, flexibility exersizes and general workouts for pe right now, so its helping me be more creative than just touching my toes and running

People don't always have a problem about losing weight. They also have a problem gaining it. Think about anorexic people or people that are just plain skinny and know its not healthy so they want a solution.

... Well it's not always about weight loss. I see it more as staying fit. Sure losing weight does occur when one exercises, but the magazines that I've read have articles about exercising, that way you are healthy and fit, as well as active. Weight loss is just.. implemented in it.. whistling.gif

Yeah, because a lot of people are paranoid that they're fat so magazines try to lure them in with "10 weight loss tips!"

Yeah...I don't know. Like Christina said, I think there's a bigger emphasis in staying fit rather than just losing weight nowadays, especially in teen magazines.

Hm, well considering the obesity and overweight rate of our country, I don't find anything really wrong with it.

I sure hope it does help people more than it is in there just for entertainment and whatnot.

Um....maybe if obesity wasn't such a huge problem in the United States, they wouldn't have to print so many articles on weight loss. mellow.gif

Being sickly thin shouldn't be accepted, but neither should being overweight.
