Is there any way to have a faded background, but normal text? Whenever I use the code filter:alpha (opacity=75) the whole blog entry is faded: background, images, text, everything. is there anyway to just get the background faded and everything else normal?

can't you just fade the background yourself with a editing program?

no, i mean like i have a background picture on my xanga and my entry background is black and i want it semi-transparent and when i get the background that way, the text is semi-transparent with it too. i was wondering if anyone knew how to keep the text and images normal and just have the background semi-transparent.

Try "filter: chroma(color=######)" instead. For the hexadecimal code, choose something close to that green color but not exactly. Make sure it's not used anywhere else on your page, but make the background of the blog area that color.

it makes the whole page semi-transparent (text and images too). I just want the entry box background to be semi-transparent...

Oh. Use this then:

Filter: chroma(color=######) alpha(opacity=60)

And then for the background color of your blogs, use that filter color.
