well...there are mods. i mean, we have the capactity to monitor that kind of stuff. and if it gets way too out of hand, then we can not have it anymore. i do think it would be good to try out though.

Tis why I said it should be password protected or something, so immature people don't get in, including pervs, excluding the ones who actually like sex but are not pervs.

Personally, I think the whole forum would go out of hand and turn into a cyber forum..

Since when does a sex forum automatically=perverted cyber talk? Some people have questions, like the one Elba used as an example, and us educated people can help. Seriously, it will only "turn into a cyber forum" if mods don't do their job.

^ seriously, and just as much immature people will make comments as any other forum. we can deal with them elsewhere, why would it be such an issue there? we have the power to control these things..

So you're saying that an 11 year old should hang out in the sex forum? Bah...and everyone wonders why kids are getting pregnant at the age of 12.

well no, not if they feel uncomfortable..but if they have questions about it, then fine, why not?

no one would be FORCING people to go in there if they're not comfortable talking about it..

Just have strict mods. I think i should be a mod. I mean come on, just look at my name.

Plus this was me and Elbas idea. (Excuse the horrible English.)

Also, Brianna, Cyber Forum? Please, after what you and I did in the Createblog chat, this would be nothing...

Now about those immature kids, just chain them up or something. Like jason, put like a lock on him or something.

Or set up a requirement or something similar.

actually, caytexo, according to law, TECHNICALLY there shouldn't be any 11-12 year olds on CB.

an age verifier is provided (i think, i dont remember) saying that all members are over 13. if they lie, its not our fault.

therefore, why should CB cater to the sensitivity of members who, in theory, dont exist, above the maturity of members who would use the forum responsibly?

but even if some 13 year olds do have sex, and most at least know about it anyway, the fact remains that a forum discussing intercouse is NOT pg-13. i seriously don't think this forum is necessary. not because i care about ignorant children, or because i myself am not comfortable with it, but i just really don't think it's a good idea. if you must talk about sex that desparately, go to another forum to do it. cb really is not the right place to diiscuss this. it's innappropriate for so many people here. and while, no, they don't have to go in it, if parents come across it, think about how much trouble the kids can get in. cb will no longer be the "innocent" forum i try to pass it off as being when my mom finds it, it will be exactly what she fears me going to. if this were a small forum, like clique where they do have one, i'd be fine with it, but cb is a huge community and tons of google searches link to it. it gets tons of traffic a day, so at one point some overly zealous people will stumble in, make a scene, start protesting, try to get it shut down, etc etc. yes, im exaggerating, but it isn't quite worth the risk. theres more than enough places where you can talk about your sex life without creating a forum for it.

nicki, we aren't going to talk about how sex is done, or about horny things, just educative things, like condoms and such... pss agree to this idea or i'll rape you

there's plenty of topics on a variety of subjects that don't fit into a specific place, but they're fit in nonetheless. there are way more reasons not to have a sex forum than to have a sex forum

Sure, Sammi. Let's go start making sex topics in the boys/girls locker rooms and relationships.

i pretty much agree with nicki, but i do see why it could be helpful. i just think if you're really curious (such as sammi's example topic) wouldn't it be just as easy to search something on google about it..? i know there are plenty of educational teen sex sites out there already, and i don't completely get why it's necessary to have a whole sex forum.
what i found from one google search (sorry if this is inappropiate, i just wanted to show how easy it would be to answer sammi's question):
"There's a *huge* variation from person to person with regard to ejaculation force as well as volume, and neither has anything to do with anything important (such as having children), even though your performance may look impressive."
that literally took 30 seconds to find. i guess the benefit to a sex forum would be you could discuss this? but again, i don't see why that's completely necessary.

i would just feel way more comfortable asking people my age on here than asking my mom, teachers, or even my friends offline, considering they all know me and my boyfriend irl and it would probably be way awkward for them when hanging out with the both of us..plus, if it was a topic here, i could hear others' opinions on the matter and if such a thing has ever happened to them.

of course, you must remember, my example topic was completely hypothetical cause i'm a good girl and i wouldn't do that. sweating.gif

William I agree.

Instead of making a forum that will end up turning into a rukus of topics that would "inform," the user, why not create a .. "big book of resources: sex style." If that's why a use is making a topic, then let's make it easy and compile a list of sex education links.

Just by glancing at some of, or rather most of, the replies here in this thread, it's obvious that it's going to be a bunch of useless replies, and immature banter.

There's only so much to discuss about condoms and the like.

Also put into consideration that sex isn't even legal until a certain age pending on what state the individual lives in. This could prove complications seeing as though CB applies the 13+ barrier, then it would make sense to also apply other legal rules, such as the age of consent.
