Your friend is a fricking idiot. Why shouldn't the mother get mad??? I'd get mad too if someone cut open my son's artery!!! Ok...anyway.....you don't need comfort! Sure you're losing a friend, but the kid is going to juvi...it started out as a joke, but it doesn't look like it's gonna end that way. The other kid is going to end up in the hospital...Maybe next time....your friend will think twice before he picks up a knife and goes behind someone else's back... stubborn.gif

QUOTE(dahding @ Jun 8 2005, 11:23 PM)
and what does this "frontal jugular region" have anything to do with it? u do realize that the easiest and quickest way to slit someone's throat and kill them, is from behind...right? besides, how do u slit someone's throat from the front besides slashing at their throat? it'd be kinda hard. so...i don't get how being in the "frontal jugular region" is any different. what, if the person was in the front, it'd be okay or something?

oh, that, and also, mzkandi didn't even mention anything about being in the front/back. so...i don't get what the heck ur talking about.

try not to use some random medical/technical term that doesn't really have anything to do with what we're talking about. it makes u sound somewhat ignorant.

I admit that I had the wrong idea of her words in my head, so yes, my comment does seem a bit irrelevent now.

However, there was no need to be a little snotrag about. Also, the jugular region IS the throat, so please, try to explain to me how it's not relevent to this entire thread.

By the way, "it makes u sound somewhat ignorant." is really ironic.

ok. just an update.

my friend is not going to juvi because the mother was persuaded to drop the charges after she cooled down a bit but he is most likely going to be expelled.
the kid who was cut didnt have a serious injury. he did lose a lot of blood but not enough to keep him in the hospital. he was in school the next day and perfectly fine.

one reason im upset is because this changes a lot of things in our lives no matter what. some of u need to be more empathetic. but thanks for ur advice.

What everyone else said. Didn't your friend even THINK about what would happen after?

I feel very sorry for you. But what your friends have done is just plain stupid.
The kid could have died as he has got his carotid artery cut. Although he was just fooling around, the consequence of what might have happened to the kid could be much worse. Your should be glad that the kid didn't die.
And I'm glad too to hear that your friend is not goin to the juvi.

Remember : THINK BEFORE ACT.

while it does have to do with the throat, it has nothing to do with the person's comment, as u have stated. so excuse me for being a snotrag about it. i just don't like people throw in big fancy terms when it's not needed. and it did sound a little out of place for throwing in "frontal jugular region."

sorry about being a "snotrag" about it. just another pet peeve of mine.

all of us just have to
[SIZE=14]THINK
[SIZE=1]before we
[SIZE=14]PUT IT INTO ACTION
[SIZE=1]your friend has to bear the consequences and that's how life is.
Playing with knives is serious.
Being found with one is serious enough!
