![]() Yep! First time doing this. It's fun! I missed a few spots when I was coloring it on the arm, though. Constructive Criticism? :edit: Original Image :edit: |

I see a lot of spots you missed and some parts that are colored over that shouldn't be.. so yeah it's kinda sloppy, you might want to fix that. >_>;

Really good for a first try! :) Keep working on it too! Maybe make that bar or..chocolate...or whatever it is that she is holding with that silver wrap to be brown like the original picture. :P

QUOTE(xblueradiance @ Jun 9 2005, 9:40 AM) Yes you did, I could tell even from not looking at the original. This is your first colourization. Would you actually go to the extent to use different shades to colour her skin? Because, remember, human skin may seem like it's one shade of colour to the human eye, in real life, but in pictures it's not. In pictures human skin has different shades of colour, different hues. Not that there's anything wrong with this type of colourization (it's more like a desaturation), just; if you did it, admit it. Don't pretend. And don't make it painfully obvious to us that you did by giving us the original to compare. |

^whoa.
Anyhow, I think it's really good for your first, regardless of how you did it. I like! Just touch up the edges and you'll be good to go. |

I even got my tutorial from here: http://www.createblog.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=53976 I copied the pic and grayscaled it, I didn't just take a brush and just color the whole thing gray. Then I layered them on top of each other and used the eraser tool to do the part that I want colored... Umm... did I do it the wrong way? -.-;; |

Well that's not really colorization; when you colorize, you take a gray picture, and use brushes to color the photo. Erasing the gray part to show the color is just..erasing. So basically you just had the wrong term.
