today was effed up. my friend found a knife on the ground and picked it up and went up behind some kid and tried to scare him by grabbing him and putting the knife up to by his neck. the kid jumped a bit so the knife slit his neck a bit. at first it didnt seem bad but then it started bleeding like crazy (cut an artery), and a teacher saw it and sent my friend off to the principal and police while the other kid went off to the hospital. the kids mom is now making them go to court and my friend might end up in juvenile hall. that pretty much screws up his life. the kid he cut was a friend in his pe class and they were just fooling around, so no one's too angry except the moms. im confused and pissed (at my friend and the kids mom). stubborn.gif just upset in general.
i hang out with this guy really often and its gonna be really weird to lose him.

someone comfort me lol...

I have to say this, stop thinking about yourself. You dont need the comfort here. That kid that got his throat cut does. And what your friend did was just plain stupid. That kid could have died. I really hope he goes to juvie, that will teach him before decides he wants to pick up another knife and "play" with it

It's your friend's fault. Siggh. He's the one who put the knife next to that kid's neck. That's just stupid. They may think it's funny, but it's not. Your friend could've killed someone.

First of, why pick up that knife anyway. None of it would of happened if your friend didn't pick it up. I agree with Kiera you don't need comfort. That poor kid got an artery cut, he could've died!

it's all fun and games till someone gets hurt. that kid could have died. even though they were friends, i think it was stupid of him to pick the knife up in the first place, even though he was just "playing" around. stubborn.gif

and of course the mom's are going to be angry, i mean come on now..

it's his own fault that he placed a knife on that kid's throat, he could've killed someone, and he should be lucky he didn't. i agree with kiera, you don't need comfort

Your friend did make a mistake... I mean, all those times adults are always telling you not to play with knives... that's the reason. Right there.

I hope he doesn't have to go to juvie though... sounds like it's just a mistake, and now he knows not to kid with that stuff...

Although the mom has a right to be angry...

you friend deserves to go to juvi. fooling around with knives and thinking it's funny: retarded. the kid could've died. even if ur friend goes to court, he's most likely gonna go to juvi.

serves him right.

Whoa whoa: Hold on guys now. Let's step in his shoes for a second.

1) Yes what you guys are saying makes a lot of sense; the friend could have killed someone and he probably should go to juvi to get some sense knocked in his brain...but

2) Lexa is still about to lose a friend and have to deal with the change of either finding another good friend or trying to forget that this ever happened [which isn't a good idea; but moving on is]...yet it's still painful ermm.gif ...I like to sum this up with the word "Endurance".

Come on guys? What if you all of a sudden found your friend was going to juvi?

(Sorry this is coming from the perspective of a person whose mom was put in jail by her step father for a night so seriously...you can't know what it feels like to have a friend/relative put in jail until it happens to you)

.::Molz

Sorry if that was offensive in any way! But it does hurt! I promise!

If you read the post, you'd have seen that he was behind the kid, so he wasn't actually in frontal jugular region.

About the whole situation, yes it was stupid that he fooled around with it, but negative consequences almost always follow negative actions.

I'm not going to say anything about consequences, because that has been totally covered, what I will say is, why are you 'losing' a friend? If your friend goes to juvenile detention, he will need your friendship more than ever, and if you truly care about him, you will support him. If anything, your friendship will deepen and you can help him see how he can avoid doing things like this in the future and be a stabilizing influence on him. He will need that as detention facilities are basically think-tanks or file-sharing opportunities for further crime. Don't let your friend develop negative friendships in juvie, if he goes, be the light at the end of his tunnel.

I'm really sorry, I understand that you must be in so much pain right now. That kid who got his artery cut must be in a lot of pain, and he would be afraid too. I think that the person who is the most afraid at the moment, however, is your friend who may go to juvie. If you've ever had one of those nightmares where you make a very horrible mistake that messes with the rest of your life, I'm sure you can get a very vague idea of what he is going through right now. It must be a million tim es worse when you realize you're not going to wake up. He should not have been playing with the knife, true, but that doesn't mean he won't feel fear. And I know that you are very afraid. I hope that everything turns out alright. I hope that you are alright after this whole thing is over. Call a friend with whom you can remember all of the good times that you had with that boy, and a friend that knows him better than we did. I think that is where the best comfort will come from.

and what does this "frontal jugular region" have anything to do with it? u do realize that the easiest and quickest way to slit someone's throat and kill them, is from behind...right? besides, how do u slit someone's throat from the front besides slashing at their throat? it'd be kinda hard. so...i don't get how being in the "frontal jugular region" is any different. what, if the person was in the front, it'd be okay or something?

oh, that, and also, mzkandi didn't even mention anything about being in the front/back. so...i don't get what the heck ur talking about.

try not to use some random medical/technical term that doesn't really have anything to do with what we're talking about. it makes u sound somewhat ignorant.

Honestly, your friend deserves to go to juvi. Even thoguh he meant it as a joke, but the knife cut that boys artery and that is serious.
