Hi there,
I was getting changed for PE earlier today and noticed that my friend had big red marks on her butt (she was wearing a thong). At first I just ignored it and told myself it was wrong to look in the first place, but then I thought "What? Isn't that abuse?" I eventually summoned up the courage to ask her and she told me she had been swearing at her mum earlier in the day and as punishment she had her bum smacked on the bare... I am 13 and haven't been smacked bare bottom since I was about 11. A few of the other girls in the changing rooms were really open about it and said they got smacked all the time. At our school we get punishment letters sent home with different sections like "chewing gum" and "swearing". Normally, I just get grounded for that kind of thing, or at the worst my mum or dad gives me a couple of spanks, but I haven't had a full pants-down spanking since primary school! - I was wondering if this is normal, or isolated to our school. Have any of you had experiences of this kind of thing at that age? |

Hmm. She shouldn't really be wearing a thong. But anyways. It could be abuse if her mother/dad/whatever is doing it too much for no good reason. Or, it's probably just punishment.

Well I think there was a pretty good reason... she HAD been swearing a lot at her mum... Actually loads of us wear thongs.

9 sheesh that is young!
I only wear one occassionally, and I'm 13. I'm pretty sure she was spanked though. I mean, why would she want to lie about that? Also the marks looked pretty convincing... I was just a little surprised at how many girls my age ARE spanked. |

well first of all i would never cuss or swear at my mom or dad cause i know for sure that i would get in BIG trouble. but believe it or not my parents never spanked me or punished me. but if she has marks on her butt then why is she wearing a thong so she can show the whole world?

Lots of parents give their kids "spankings". But you told us that she was swearing at her mom and she's 13. If you want to swear at 13 you do it with your friends, not at your mom. So her mom didn't spank her for the hell of it, she used it as a form of punishment. I've been spanked many times, and belivie me a smack on the bottom is nothing compared to child abuse. So I'm pretty sure your friend is safe.

Wow. 13 year old and wearing a thong ?!?! amazing ! ^.- but actually, if someone is getting abused, you should tell a parent or someone that is older than 18. Someone like a doctor , your parent, or even your teacher. Tell them that your friend is getting smacked at their butt and getting bruises that can harm them. Do something that can help your friend. But i don't think its necessary for parents to smack them. Just ground them for a short period of time and that wil do it. I don't get smacked .. im too good for that.
