My gf and I have a lot of things in common, but a lot more things between us are polar opposites.

yeah my boyfriend and i are really, really different in some areas. like the other day we were walking down the hall talking about english class and i was like blah blah blah, AP next year and he was like blah blah blah failing level three... and i was like, well. that's peachy. who are you?
but we have a lot of serious stuff in common.

anyway, if you mean "attracts" as in a realtionship... i think it definitely depends on the people. relationships are work, you know? and i think if you like someone enough you become extremely comfortable with them to the point where you're so used to the things about them that are opposite to you that they don't seem so strange and different anymore. i'm sure that made infinite amounts of sense. aye.

yes, i think opposites attract. maybe not all the time, but at least always for me.

see i can be pretty quiet sometimes, and i get so caught up in what other people want, and i'd rather hear about other people's problems than my own. but i am in NO WAY attracted to guys like that. NEVER. not ever. stubborn.gif

see i always end up falling for obnoxious, loud, cocky guys. i think it's because we balance each other out, you know? but i can still understand guys like that, so it all works out i guess... ermm.gif

I was going to chose yes, but then again, it's not a definate for everyone. Like my first time to having a relationship, and my last ><, we were completely different. It seemed like things would work out, but in the end, it didn't. & it was only for a month and we hardly did anything. Then I realized that we were just too different. Like he was not the type of guys I usually go for and that time, I did. But we didn't like the same thing and such. He was totally fobby and I'm a CBC. It doesn't work for me. Then again, he would speak in Cantonese and I would speak in English, so I guess it was partially due to communication and interests.

I am very interested in what you think...because that is how it works for me. i am super girly, and the oppisite of girly is pretty much skater. and i LUV the skaters. and pretty much all the skaters like me...but wouldnt you think that the skaters would like the skaters?
*

well i'm kind of girly i guess i;m not really into labels but hey whatever goes. Um i guess i;m the unique type then i;m a little of everything. and this skater guy likes me... but yea opposites attract because sometimes if u guys like the same things it gets boring thats how my friend and her bf broke up after a week but sometimes it doesnt work out like you may be WAY too different so yea it differs..

Think about it, if you date someone thats just like you, you'd be dating yourself, whats fun there?
So of course opposites attract, it makes it fun to be around someone different.

My current relationship is practically the whole "opposites attract" dealio.

I mean I'm sure two people could still have similar interests (minor things), but seriously, it's more fun with people who are different. You'll learn more about different interests and you'll also see different perspectives on certain issues.

I'd say sometimes. It may not work for all people.
I think it'd make the relationship more interesting, though. There'd be a nice balance, and it wouldn't be as boring as if you both liked the exact same things.

I think relationships of any kind have nothing to do with labels. That shit's so stupid. If you're attracted to someone, it doesn't matter what they wear or who they hang out with. Doesn't get much more complicated than that.

i think it could go either way. everyone always "wants what they cant have" right?? so..in my opinion..youre attracted to the ones who are opposite than you since you dont have that quality in yourself. thennn it could also go the other way, where you two are SO opposite that you dont agree on anything, you dont get along, etc..
