First of all, don't be somebody that people want you to be. If they don't like you then to bad for them! Your "Punk" and "Preppy" friends are probally using you, no offense. Never let anybody conrtol your life but you. It's your body, it's your life, it's your future. Be yourself.

I Hope That Helped You!

well, I'm not sure...if freinds are important to you, which I'm sure they are, than mabye stick with the preppy...but...maybe you'd make better freinds as punk because you'd make punk freinds that woudl be like you...but then again maybe not...

this is hard...I've never had this sort of situation before, I mean Iv'e always hated my clothing jsut because it looked ugly on me till I got some resnoble clothing, but....never for what ppl said about me...as far as I could tell they didn't care ermm.gif

I dress kinda like...hmm...how to say it...mama's girl? lol, my shorts arn't too short, the shortest skirt I have is knee length, I wear baggyish shirts, and....what can I say? I'm very...normal? no, not normal, normal is tight shirt and tight jeans for teens, but I guess I dress like a little kid huh.gif hmmm, never thought of it htat way, but anywya, I definitly don't fit into any particular stereo type....

I agree with the first reply, write down the pros and cons, I dont' know if your style or freidns are most important to you so your gonna have to decide for yourself I'm afraid, sorry I coudlnt' be of more help sad.gif

Stereotypes make it harder for everyone. I've been called a poser countless times, but I seriously don't feel comfortable being anything other than the pessimistic, black-wearing person that I am. People certainly don't accept me, but it was my choice and it should be your choice what you want to be. You can be who you are but not wear the clothes. Just be neutral. Go with a pair of jeans and a T-shirt, listen to your punk rock, and do cheerleading. Screw anyone who has a problem with it.

i think u should do watever makes u happy, no matter wat other people say. No matter what people are gonna judge u, just dont let it get to u anymore. And if ur friends are the way u say they are, why waste ur time with them. If they're gon leave u cause u go back to ur punk rock side...then they're not really ur friends

I don't want to call you stupid, but your dilemma is slightly silly.

Dress how you want to dress.

Talk to who you want to talk to.

Act how you want to act.

If people reject you based on your style, you don't really need to be talking to them, now, do you?

I'm not going to write pros and cons for you, because there are no actual pros and cons. You wear what you want to wear, you act how you want to act, and you retain yourself. You lose "friends" but you keep friends.

You dress how they want you to dress, you act how they want you to act, and you become a follower. One way or another, you're going to look like a follower of one stereotype or another, but if you choose to wear what you like, rather than what other people like, then it's simply a style that you enjoy, rather than the consumption of your entire self.

It's not worth faking anything just to be with people who are faking their friendships. If you're going to lose friends over the way you dress, are they really your friends?

You can be a cheerleader no matter how you dress.

The people who don't think so will learn that eventually.

be who you want to be.
think about it, why'd you become prep?  to be accepted.  but you know what, to be blunt, you do sound like a poser.  you know why?  because you're posing as a prep, and you don't know how you want to dress.  you dress a certain way because you want to be accepted.  you're afraid of going back to your old way because you won't be accepted.  stop being wishywashy.  choose who you want to be and stick with it.

ditto. the only reason they called u a poser b4 was because u dared to be diiferent (i hope u know what i mean cuz i really dont know how to put it into words sad.gif ). now ur just proving them rite. be true to urself hunnie.

just be yourself!
even though its hard.
if they call you that, theyre not your friends and you dont deserve them. forget about them, you stll got the cheerleader skills in the inside and you could probably own them in cheerleading.
just do whatever you want to do.

Don't let other people's judgement sway you one way or the other. It's hard to show sa different side that people aren't used to seeing, but if that's the side you are comfortable with, don't fret. Remember, you can't satisfy everyone. So just for for making yourself happy. If trning back into the punk style is more comfortable, then do it. Who cares what everyone wants you to be? Ine the end, it's not their decision; it's yours. And you'll have to live with whatever you choose.

agreed. =)

go back to who you really want to be. Dont care of what others think of you if thats what you really want. And if you're going to loose alot of friends because of going back to dressing punkish then what kind of friends are they? They shouldnt be caring of how you dress and such. Do what you really want to do.
