I was sad.. but I knew I'd keep in touch with them. Most of them were going to the same high school, and I was one of the ones who went off to a far away one where none of them were going. I still miss them, but I'm sorta glad I went to a different high school because there's a bunch of drama going on there. And yeah.

QUOTE(caytexo @ Jun 1 2005, 7:35 PM)
as the school year comes to a close, i get more and more depressed knowing that next year my class will be split up and go off to different high schools. i know that at graduation i will cry my eyes out and a week or so into the summer too. whenever i hear vitamin c's song graduation, it makes things 10 times worse! they always play that song and i get soo sad.  sad.gif

when you graduated 8th grade or high school, were you extremely depressed or happy to leave everyone?
*

When I graduated from elementary, which was last year.. I felt... super sad. I cried during the summer. Trust me, it wasn't good..

Truthfully, I didn't really care that much when I graduated from eight grade. I had been to two middle schools locally, so I would have friends at any high school I decided to go to. :P Plus, I think I've become slightly jaded about leaving friends (parents both military, moving often growing up).
However, I cried my eyes out at graduation (high school). I was sad, because I would literally never see a lot of those people again, and it meant band was over (aww, yeah, I'm a dork). I was really happy though, because I was finally finished! :P

some seem to be this way.

my town is kind of small with only one highschool with about 1,500 kids attending unlike the other schools around us who have 4 highschools.

just remember, it's not the end of the world...

aww, you all are so young! wel~ when i graduated from 8th grade, it wasnt all too bad. we were all separating and everything but my friends and i made a pact to stick together and to keep in touch. you find out who your real friends are when they keep their promises. (:

i have one more school year to go and then i'll finally be a high school graduate!

I graduated middle school in '98 and I was happier than ANYTHING, no doubt. In 2002 I graduated from High School and I was hysterical, like, I couldn't breathe, and now I'm a Senior in College and Graduating NEXT Spring =] Probably won't cry.

But..HS...wow, that's a tough graduation.

whoa! blink.gif they split y'all uP? whenever i left middle school, i was happy because i got to go to high school and all of my friends were going to be there. (they don't split us up happy.gif)

they don't split us up...there is one public high school...and like 10 or so vocational and private ones that some people chose to apply to. (Red Bank Regional, MASS, CBA [all boys school], high tech, etc..)

Well, I am going into ninth grade, but it's still the same school, so no eighth grade graduation.

(Elementary = K to 6.
Junior High = 7 to 9.
High School = 10 to 12)

So yeah.. I haven't experienced any of those except for changing from elementary school to junior high.

I don't think I'll really care though. It's just another year gone.

High School isn't anything like the movies.
But you have to accept that things change and people get split up.
If they're your real friends, they'll stay by your side.

When i graduated from 8th grade, everybody from my school and our rival school went to the same high school. so considering i went to both of those schools i had alot of friends from each of them. so having both of them combined was pretty cool. so i was happy. but now im in a different state and have to start allllll over.
