In none of the community rules does it prohibit double posting. While older members already know that double posting is not allowed because it is considered spam, newer members don't; when they here about double-posting, many of them seem not to understand what it is and think double posting means posting more than once in a thread rather than posting two times in a row without anyone posting in between your two posts.

I think it'd be more helpful for the newer members to have clarification in the rules on double posting.

I think so too. I have encountered some miscommunications when trying to explain to new members what double posting is.

But double posting is still not defined - which was actually what I was hoping for, because people go around saying "OH, ____(mod) double posted!!" when.. they didn't.

QUOTE
NO DOUBLE POSTING
Double-posting is posting two posts at the same time, in other words, one after another.
Because we have a feature that allows users to EDIT their posts,
double posting is considered SPAM.
Accidents may happen, but try to avoid double-posting at all costs!
