i feel the same way. but my classes in college don't assign homework. it's all just reading the textbook. i mean, that's different from the other kinds of homework, like the homework i got in high school was like answering questions or some kind of paperwork. those kept me on tab and helped to prepare me for the tests and quizzes. and homework was counted into my grade. now, all my classes only base the grade on tests. sad.gif

to argue from the teachers' point of view, homework does actually save some time from teaching absolutely everything required. It lets the students think for themselves a bit in their own time, which is a far more effective way of learning than the teacher trying to teach everything not knowing whether the members of the class are actually absorbing any of it.

Damn it, I'm sounding like a teacher... I'm just trying to add a new flavour to this topic
