Spybot S&D should be able to get rid of it. Where were you surfing?

This goes in Technology btw.

Hi xj_liana_tx I'm Mike and I'll be helping you today, first download HiJack This here and save it to its Own folder (i.e C:\HJT) and do a system scan and a save logfile. When notepad opens Copy and Paste whatever is in notepad here in the same thread.

I would also like you to run some of the scans below for Trojans and Viruses

Viruses:
Please run a free online virus scan here (tick the "Auto Clean" checkbox):
http://housecall.antivirus.com/

Trojans:
And a free trojan scan here:
http://www.moosoft.com/

Reboot your PC.

If you would please, rescan with HijackThis and post a fresh log in this same topic, and we'll remove what's left.

Hi xj_liana_tx I'm Ryan and I will also be helping you alongside with Mike. First, download and run what Mike said, and clear your cookies (Tools > Internet Options/Options > Delete Cookies and Delete Files), because some viruses may add cookies that can infect your computer.

I checked this virus on Symantec's Security Response (link), and here's what it said: link.

Please update Norton Antivirus's virus definintions, if you don't know how, you go to Norton Antivirus, and somewhere it should say Live Update. Once you've done that, please scan again.

It seems like every 10 seconds this virus communicates with a site to get the latest instance of this threat using TCP port 80.

Don't worry, I'm sure we can remove this trojan fairly easily.

Xj_liana_tx, please post a HijackThis log. If you don't know how to, or you need help, please reply and let me know.

I don't use Norton. I use McAfee. Usually mine deletes the trojan on its own. Probably you should upgrade to McAfee. It does cover up most of your needs. (Ads, viruses, etc..) Or you could just follow ^their instructions.

They both work...

I use Trend Micro.
Hmm, will Hijack This really work? I'm not so sure if you can remove it by clearing your registry.

But, unless the source is from the registry, then thats a different story.
I love hijack this.

To me Norton is bad they have alot of problems with their products and yeah i use McAfee but it doesnt really help or do anyhting and YUP i love Hijack This, TrendMicro works or Panda for Viruses , moosoft and Windows security are for Trojans, but if your still having some problems runing on your Comp download Ewido Suite from its site and scan a full HD scan in safe mode.

I suggest you... start the computer in SafeMode (google for instructions), transfer all your files to another Harddrive, then reformat the computer.
