People must love hurting other people's feelings

I was at the mall tonight and I went to the Louis Vuitton store. The attendant was sure to remind me that "we don't encourage people to come in here without the intention of purchasing anything".

To which I responded with "well, I do have the intention of buying something."

I don't know if I'm overreacting, but this really hurt my feelings.

I ended up buying three shirts, a pair of slacks, and a wallet. I wish I could have bought back my pride cry.gif.

Ugh, that happened to me once at some fancy schmancy electronics store in a bigger city.
I came in and I was browsing through the CDs and they said just about the same thing to me.. It really pissed me off and it made me feel like I wasn't good enough to walk through their store.

Meh, I kind of just... attempted to tell them off the best that I could as ten year-old..:P

I know what you mean though..

try not to let it get to you. i think i can feel where you are comming from. i find that most people that work in stores like that have the tendancy to be rude to people if they don't see you wearing 1,000 dollars worth of diamons. [i joke]

my response to somthing as rude as that would be:

"Well, I wouldn't have walked into the store if I had no intention of buying anything now would I?"

that probably would shut her up.

Well first off that attendent had no right to say that. I hate when you go to these fancy stores and they give you one look and assume they know everything about you.

I get that a lot. What I usually do to retaliate is try on a bunch of clothes and leave a mess for the attendant. Then, I'd go to next door, purchase some stuff... then come back and make another mess.

It's fun. mellow.gif

Aww.. console.gif Eugh I hate it when people think you're going to steal someone and follow you around or give you an attitude--who knows? We probably would end up buying someone there.

What you could've done was ask them for their name then ask to speak with the manager and say that the person is a bad employee because s/he treated you cruely. You also could've said (REALLY LOUDLY) "well I do intend on buying something, but since you've been so rude, YOU JUST LOST SERVICE HERE. KTHX." And storm out.

I've never been asked that before, though. Hey where are you, anyway, Justin? Are you in San Diego? If so were you at the Fashion Valley LV store? Haha dork.

That is horrible!!! grrr thats why i hate fancy stores.

one time, i went to the mall with my grandma and sister, and i was in my abercrombie stage (i was 10 then, 13 now//not interested in prep-obilia anymore) and i could fell someone looking at me, but i didnt really care, until i noticed my grandma wasnt around anymore. so i went to the front desk of the store (abercrombie) and my grandma was talking to this pretty, blonde girl and she looked really angry, and the girl was giving me bad looks, so i just waited a little bit. then when she got done, she told me that the girl had been "gossiping with her friends about me", or in my words, thinking i wasnt worthy. that really made me self-conscious. good thing im past that abercrombie stage *phew*

if i were you, i would've slapped that hag in the face right then and there.

Ugh, I hate it when people act as if they're better than you. I would've blacked out at her if I were you.

How so?

You can't go into the world thinking that you have a right to mistreat others without facing some kind of consequence. My retaliation is a kind of consequence. Cause and effect. Yea?

worthy.gif Fae you are too awesome! Haha they deserve that because they disrespected you. Wow haha I feel sorry for them. That'll teach them. :] It's not as if you brought scissors and cut up their clothes--all you did was leave a mess which can be cleaned up eventually. I think that's a light punishment. :P

That's true. It's just a mess that can be easily cleaned up, but like Justin said, our pride is involved and can't be cleaned up as easy as the mess. I could be more evil and complain to the managers. When I complain, I stay to make sure that the person gets in trouble. So, it's better to clean up a mess, then to get me complaining. laugh.gif
