it's my first vector. i'm not so sure if i should call it completed or not. i wrote "or something" because it's not really how you're supposed to do it, according to the tutorial i was using (it wasn't on cb). so i had to outline everything.

i didn't really like the layered look when it came to skin tone, so that's why it looks kinda goofy.

it's the one with the black/gray/white background. i don't have illustrator. ermm.gif

original picture

so what should i do, or what could i do better or akdjsf? huh.gif rolleyes.gif

Actually, thats very good as being your first! I like how it is! Good job! Leyrs on the hair would be nice, but it still looks nice without it, so yeah. Great job.

Wow, that is really good for a first vexel. Nice job! I can't wait to see more of your work.

xo, Pauline

edit: The only criticism I have for you is about the shading of his shirt. The shadows of the creases of the fabric (since the shirt is striped) should be two colors instead of just a solid gray. To achieve this, you should set the opacity of the gray shapes to a lower percentage (10-20%).

that makes sense and i know what you're saying.. but i don't know how. hopefully, it's possible on photoshop (as stated above, i don't have illustrator), but i don't know the program really well. ermm.gif would it look the same if i made the color darker?

thanks for the comments! _smile.gif

Pretty good for your first! Wow and the image is so tiny! Being able to vexel it must've been tough! The second one, I like how you outlined around him.. It makes it look unique. Very cool. Can't wait to see the finished product!
