Hey --

I have a blue background for the entries on my blog. I want to have an entry with a black background. I tried making the background black by using the fill color function, but while it made the entry have a black background, it left the area around the outside (where the date, e-props, and comments are located) blue.

How do I change that outside area to be black, just for the one entry... and make the text (e-props, date) be white just for that one entry and not the whole blog.

The entry is private... so you won't be able to see exactly what I mean about the trim still being blue, but my general layout is on Anatole's Penthouse.

Thanks.

To make an entry with a black background add this...

CODE
<!-- begin code provided by createblog.com -->
<style type="text/css">
/*
Blog Background Color
*/

.blogbody {background-color: #000000;};
</style>
<!-- end code provided by createblog.com -->

I don`t think you can adjust it so that your dates& smalltext are a different color for JUST THAT ENTRY but for all of them, here`s the script.

Date
CODE
<!-- begin code provided by createblog.com -->
<style type="text/css">
div.blogheader, .caption {
font-family:impact;
text-transform:uppercase;
font-size:16px;
line-height:10px;
font-weight:bold;
color:#ffffff;
letter-spacing:0px;
background-color: #000000;
text-align: left;
}
</style>
<!-- end code provided by createblog.com -->

Smalltext
CODE
<!-- begin code provided by createblog.com -->

<style type="text/css">}
div.smalltext{
width: WIDTHpx;
background-color: #000000;
padding: 3px;
text-align: left;
font-family: arial;
font-size: 8pt;
}</style>

<!-- end code provided by createblog.com -->

The code doesn't seem to work for the background color. I already have it posted as a private entry so I could see what it would look like... I have gone in an tried to change it by adding the code in through the html edit function, but after I submit the change, nothing happens to the post and the code isn't listed when I look up the html in the post.

Am I doing this right?

No, with that code you need to put it in your look and feel, not in one of the entries.

If I put it into my look and feel, won't it change all my entries to a black background?

I was hoping to change just the one... is there a way to specifically change just one though the look and feel html? Again, the entry in question has a black background through the fill function, but it leaves a blue border, the area where e-props and the date go and I'm hoping to fill that area in for just the one entry.

Thanks.

It will change all of them if you put them in your look and feel.

I put up my entry with the black fill in background. If anyone wants to take a look and see if they have any ideas for filling in the whole area so that the blue background doesn't show, I would appreciate it... I can always change the entry after the fact.

Thanks.
