image hosting problems, hosting photoshop images

i created an xanga skin in photoshop and want to get the image on a hosting site so i can continue creating the xanga skin, well there is alittle problem that i have ran into, it wont accept the photoshop file, what can i do to fix this? please also feel free to leave any tips on creating a xanga skin. thanks

What type of file is it? And what hosting service are you trying to use?

You should save your image(s) as: .png, .gif, .jpg.
Saving as a programs extension do not work when using free hosts.

Certain files are only allowed to be uploaded (and they'll show you what files are allowed.)

When saving your image, search the drop down box in the dialog "SAVE AS" box for the aforementioned extensions.
