the post wasn't important. it was the words 'the cb revolution'. the post was there to make it look good. for there to be a 'purpose'.

to be fair, the feedback forum probably wouldnt exist without this thread, nor would the newly introduced way of staffing.

so not really total bullshit...

the feedback forum is nice, but we didn't really need a new way of modding..the other way was fine..people just complained so we only changed it so people would shut up.

well its good to know you've built a solid base of power, then...

just because your not happy about a chnge in modding doesnt negate the impact it had... the point was that the revolution amounted to something, and whether or not it came to stop people 'whining' (btw, get over your self, you're a moderator, not a dictator) or because its a better system than the one which was in place is neither here nor there

i like what has happenned since the "cb revolution". we've given our regular members an opportunity to get more involved with the forum (via the feedback forum) and a way to get our moderators more involved in the modding process. and i've liked some of the suggestions made in this forum thus far and am working on implementing them.

so yes, you're right. this "cb revolution" has served some purpose. at first, i wasn't very happy about it because the way some of you approached it made it seem like you felt like something was severely wrong with the way the staff goes about making decisions. not only that but this also influenced other members to think the same and made us all look bad. it would have been nice if you guys had at least confronted one of us before making assumptions and criticizing us.

to be fair, i did make my feelings clear on the modding process before the results were announced. but i get what you're saying.

however, dont you think its fair to say that our opinion is no more likely to 'influence other members to think the same' than yours (the mods', not roxy's personally)? i mean, again, just because something encourages people to express feelings that are against 'the establishment', fo rwant of a better term, doesnt make it wrong...

you're right, the cb revolution was intended to create turmoil, to ignite tensions. However, it was to get certain things done, not create a war between moderators and members.

yes, i saw the scene was right for this after the new moderator announcements.

because all the ideas brought forth in the cb revolution post had already been posted by members. and thusly ignored, or else lost in a 'that sounds like a good idea' but no implementation.

i was accused of stirring up trouble, and yes, the post was primed to ensure a strong emotional response, but this was so that support for the 4 points would be greater.

it's interesting that the revolution wound down around page 7... and we're still talking about it.

i just reread the whole thread... and it seems quite comical.

and i'd like to thank all the admin/ mods who didn't just delete the topic.

hmm... seems like the momentum of this thread is carrying it a bit further...
