well this depends on what you are wanting to crop ... a person or a object, if u want any of the BG or not ... ??

it might not for you, but for me yes it makes a diffrence what tool i use to crop my stuff.
Basicly this is done with the marquee tools in PS . u can even use the extract tool .. the extract tool is located in filter/extract <-- I think> they moved it from version 6 to version 7 and I can't remeber if that is where it is... I don't use it much I use the marquee tools mostly . Hope that helps -MM |

thanks but i think im confused. what i want to do is, take out my name out of my sig and replace it wit another text, thing is i lost my psd file while reformatting. so how would i do that? is that cropping or am i trying to do something else?

hehe, I have hardly ever used that tool, and to answer your question about taking the name out of the sig, umm Good luck , that will take alot of work and just cropping it will not work... best bet is to redo the sig altogether. IMO

The tool itself. You lost all of your brushes meaning the ones you downloaded or the default ones? Maybe you can post a picture of it?

i lost all the ones i downloaded. oh well. i just thought there was a way to remove the text and still save the image but i gave up on cropping it. thanks though. this post can be closed.
