Once he turns 18, it is illegal, and currently it's still illegal. Actually, it's illegal to have sex until you're 18. But what cops are gonna bang down your bedroom door?

I suggest you not to. ...There probably are not what I'd call 'pure intentions' for this guy dating you. Not saying that you are a hoe, easy chika, but when guys go for the younger chicks, they probably just want some.. ..synonyms of cat. <3

so it's a four year distance?

he might have more experience than you and his intentions might not be what you want to hear, but then again, age ain't nothing but a number.

if you really like him and you know for sure he really likes you not because he wants to take something from you, then go for it.

personally, i would feel uncomfortable. i had a friend who was your age and went out with a 17 year old as well. the end results were that he used her for his own pleasures and that her parents found out. her parent gave her this metal chain underwear thingthat could only be taken off with a lock, so she would have sex again. but in the end, she went with her boyfriend to a party and he used a saw to cut it off because he had to have sex. the saw left a scar on her hip and she was in the hospital for two weeks.

but if youre sure he wont use you... then you should try it.

yep, that's illegal. but u know what they say. rules were meant to be broken. so eff the law and eff him if u want.

but then again, like mish said, his intentions probably aren't so pure.

Make sure he isn't a player. Make sure you really, really trust him.

If he has those kinds of intentions and is pressuring you to do so, dump him off the boat and keep sailing through life. _smile.gif

I think the only illegal thing you have to worry about is sex.....
but if you know for a fact that he isn't just going to use you for sex, then go for it. I don't think fooling around with him would be illegal. But err....remember, his intentions won't be alike to those that are around your age. He's only 17......nothing will be illegal till he's 18. mellow.gif

I don't think it'll work out, he's more expierienced and there's a chance he could take advantage.

ehh..i wouldn't advise it. 2 years is the farthest i'd go, maybe 3. i'm 15 and my bf's turning 17 soon, and even this is a far age difference since i'm not that experienced and i've figured out that he definitely is, so..

older guys have one thing that really controls their minds, ya know. they're a LOT hornier than girls..most, anyway.

I'd have to say it's probably not the best choice, just because you're so young. Most guys would think that this is the chance to take advantage of a younger girl. Who knows, maybe this guy is one of the good ones who actually like you for you, but still.

And it is illegal, though I highly doubt you'd ever get in trouble for anything, unless your parents find out and have him charged for molestation/rape or whatever.

Try to really, really get to know this guy before you try anything with him. Find out what he's about and how far he's been, stuff like that. You wouldn't want to risk the chance of getting hurt or in trouble for anything.

I don't think there's anything wrong with it. I dated a seventeen year old when I was 12. He knew my age and he still treated me great. He never tried to take advantage of me at all. The only reason I broke up with him was because I just stopped having feels for him. Not because of anything. Just.. yeah....

Not all guys are like Rob, my ex. And many guys four years older than you will take advantage. Just watch out and be careful.

Wow.. That's a hell of a difference. But I shouldn't be talking. I didn't date this guy but I hooked up with this 21 year old when I was 13. I'm still thirteen but legal things got involved. Okay.. apparently something happened that was illegal except I don't know what because we only kissed and I mean.. he definatly IMPLIED things. And said them up-front. But nothing happened. So.... I duno. ermm.gif

I dunno thsi guy personally but if he just wants to go out with you then give it a try. If his intentions are something that you dun want to do then break up with him. I would recommend telling him about things you dun want to do like having sex and such up front. guys tend to like it better if you're truthful about things up front with them. I'm 17 and going out with a 20 almost 21 yr old so I mean....its up to you and what you're parents think about....him...

thats the same thing with my friends sister but the other way around.
hmm; if you seriously think its okay, then go for it. But there are consequences. He`s seen more of life then yu have, hes probably been through more. And if it was me, i`d choose to be on the safe side. Cause what if that sex thing does happen..?

if you don't mind that he is older and that you guys would have sex within 4 yrs difference.. i don't see why not do it .. but if your afraid that it would be illlegal, then don't.. i would recommend you not doing it because you would probally regret that you lost your virginity to someone that is 4 yrs older and that you don't love him that much. think it over before you actually do it.. i perfer.

I most definitely aqree. I think that 13/14 years old is too younq for sex but you may think otherwise. If you want to have a relationship w/ this guy I think you should have him meet w/ your parents. Don`t ask him what his intentions are, because unless he always tells you the truth, then he miqht not be honest. Get it?

good god people, it depends which state you live in.

i live in new york and the legal age to have sex is 17. there can only be a maximum difference of 4 years in the ages of a relationship...i know that applies in new york but i don't know about anywhere else, but i'm pretty sure that's the law for everyone or at least most people.

it's simply ridiculous that people are worried that when whoever hits 18 you have to break up because it's illegal. what's the sense in that? "oh no baby, i'm sorry we have to break up our relationship of 3 years because my birthday is tomorrow" huh.gif

if you're really old and the other person is really young, it doesn't matter as long as nothing sexual happens...even if you do mess around it's okay as long as the younger person in the relationship doesn't press charges.

but people should be careful, for the guys: girls are always made to be the victim in most scenarios so even if the girl says it's fine...someday down the road she can turn on you and accuse you of raping her.
