Oh man AP Bio... I am so not ready for the 4 essays. I know the basic facts, but not them in depth for an essay, and that's pretty bad... The multiple choice I can probably handle, but the essays, nope. Just one more test and I'm done with tests(until the SATs in June...)

mellow.gif I got a 54% on the AP Biology final in my class. pinch.gif I am SOOOOO not ready for this. At least you know something!

At least you know something, Nat. I don't know much about anything. All I can rely on is what I've learned in Biology LAST year, which doesn't even come close to 1/10 of what I should've learned in class. I should really study.. Feh I'm not planning on passing this test anyway since I've learned practically nothing.. whistling.gif

Haha... i don't think so. Sure you are smart but i mean, you take exams for nothing. Here in belgium, we learn and take NORMAL exams. No "ap" or whatever. It's kinda useless. Oh well, what do you expect, it's america.

Yeah, for the immune system, I didn't learn anything, so I made up that whole answer. And same goes for the prokaryotic chromosome question...
But at least I'm glad it's all over.

I took the US History, English Lang, and Biology tests. Whew, what a relief that it's over!

Thankfully, I actually studied for the tests. My history teacher gave me a 5 page packet with a list of important events, so I had a study group session at my house with 3 friends and we went through looking up all the important events/people on the wikipedia and in our textbook. I learned a lot. There's a nifty wikibook about US history that I'd recommend to all taking the US history test next year.

As for biology, wow... that was a hard test. I thought I didn't better than most people though. At least I know how prokaryotic dna is structured, since we had to learn about it for the transgenic bacteria lab we did in class (yes, we actually inserted a plasmid into E. coli and made it resistant to ampicillan... so cool). Study is critical for this test. My biology teacher had me take a week of class highlighting the Princeton review (fantastic idea... wish I would've had more time to get through the book).

My thought about the tests is split. I learned a lot studying for them, but I feel as though it just puts more stress on students. It'd be nice if there was a way to make our compulsory schooling a little less obligatory, maybe it wouldn't lose so much of its intrinsic value.
