I'm using Got'em tracker. I've already been through their FAQ's section and have fixed my page appropriately but it still doesn't seem to be showing up the users that visit. I get logs, but not the user even if they've signed on and left me comments. I took out sections of my code until I found out what is affecting it and it turns out to be the image mapping code that I used. So if anyone has any solutions or anything, let me know. Thanks ahead of time.

I think the trackers track the people by some kind of link that is normally on xangas. If you look at plain xangas, on the top right there are always 3 links, the middle one being your username if you're signed in. I remember reading somewhere that the trackers track the users that visit your xanga by that or something. Since imagemapping gets rid of that, the visitors can't be tracked.
..at least that's what I remember reading. I could be TOTALLY wrong. |

Yea, I already know that the trackers use those links in order to show who visits your site. The links are already present on my xanga page with image mapping if you look. There is usually a code to get rid of the link they use to track, but I've already taken that portion out. So I still don't know why it isn't tracking when the links are present with the use of image mapping. If someone was in the same situation I am (image mapping affecting tracker) and found a solution, please let me know. |

if you have photoshop you can image map easily with this..

Ahh.. You guys are making it a little difficult. It shouldn't be. I know how to image map.. I'm saying that the image map is affecting my log tracker.. Please read everything before answering..
