it's way to defualt... try to be more creative.. try adding a banner or backround
 but nice for a 1st i guess...

 So i just used the style sheet.

^ Well hey it's okay. *pat pat* there there. You know what you should do? You have keep the dark blue background, then have a lighter blue box for the background of each blog entry. That way, the words in the entries can be more easily read (especially the links). And then have the font a dark blue. I think it would look better that way, even if it's somewhat defaultish. Simplicity is good.
 Keep trying and try to get colors that work a lot better together. The aqua-green color of the background behind the date of the xanga entry doesn't match that well. |

That's a good layout for ur first time. My first time was when i used the PREMADE ones in xanga, than just edited it kind of. Good job. You should try to make things with "Microsoft Paint"

the free ones is PAINT ms paint on your computer check the tutorial section there some tutorials on things you can do with it
but other free tiral programs : adobe photoshop : adobe.com jasc paint shop pro : http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satellite?pag...d=1047024307383 but about your xanga its a bit defaultish like peoples ^ said nice try but work on it more yes? |

Go to www.gettyimages.com to go get some pictures... Just remember to credit when you use any of their pictures! :)
I'm really impressed that you have pictures behind your dates because it took me forever to do that and I'm not a newb at layouts... :P |

For just a CSS layout, it's very nice! THANK YOU THANK YOU for not using
- blinkies - huge dashed borders - neon colors on black or white I definitely like the colors, keep at it! And if you're looking for a graphics program to start with, I suggest Paint Shop Pro... you can download it from jasc.com and it's geared towards beginners, but you can still do advanced stuff
