problems talking to people.., you want to talk to. Options

There's this guy..I've sort of had a bit of obsession on for almost 3 years now. I went out with him...in 7th grade. Things were great..but I don't want to get into it. We broke up..moved on.

But the things is. I never got over him..usually people stop thinking about ex's maybe after a month of grieving..but this has been over a year. So after the breakup, a lot of drama happened. Because about 4 months later (still obsessed)..he went out with my best friend (what a bitch, right?!). He's probably over me. He's had about 3 girlfriends since me..and I've had...yes, zero.

My friend is convincing me..I should just tell him how I feel. But how weird is that! We sort of lost track. You know, there's an I.M. now and then, and a 'Hey' in the hall. But nothing more. He'd think I'm like crazy. I want to get to know him again though.

So my question seems pretty dumb after that.
...but..When it comes to getting to know someone..again. How?

I try to talk to him online..but there's really nothing to talk about after the "sup nmu? nm. cool. yeah"...the typical. I know I fell in love with his personality...when I knew him more. And it just sucks, feeling like I can't talk to him like I used to. Sorry if this doesn't make since...but help would be apprieciated.
