Naw, my school doesn't like it when we participate. I never have. I worked at Mom's office (OBGYN clinic, she's a doc) for several months. Trust me, I know what she does at work. XP And Dad... he is a retired minister. He would've made me leave the room constantly because people tell preachers stuff that the preacher's kid isn't supposed to hear. :P

No. I don't think we have this sort of thing over here.

P.S. I don't want to go to my dad's office anyway.

We don't have a "take you child to work day" over here. Man I wish we did. I wouldn't mind getting out of school for a day and still be counted not absent.

I used to get every year when I was in elementary. It wasnt recognised as that big of a hoiday or anythimg, very few kids even knew about, and you had to write a paper and do a presentation on what you saw and did, which was cool cuz my cousin (my legal guardian at the time) worked at fina oil and chemical, so I learned all this stuff about how they dont just produce oil and gas, but they make cds and styrofoam products and stuff. It was a big deal at the company, they would like, have games and presentations for us the whole day, food...and it was a 26 story building so me and a friend of mine whos mom also worked there, would take the elevator all the way to the top floor, and alllll the way to the bottom. We tried climbing the stair once...yeah. But yeah it was a lot of fun, you just had to prove you went. Since they always gave us loads of souvineirs, that was easy enough. :D

Thats awsome.. I remember if you went to Take Your Child To Work Day, you had to write a report about it and then you wouldnt be counted absent *nod*

But I also remember the kids who didnt go got to play games all day and just chill with the other people who couldnt go to work with there parents.

My mom works at home and my dad works in a lawyers office..

Be bored all day and write a report about it?

Or

Go to school and chill with my class?

Obviously I always picked the later.

yeah see like in my school, 4 out of like 350 kids went, so it kind of didnt exist. I think the teachers didnt say anything about it, to avoid lots of kids missing school. We just called the school and asked my teacher about, and she told me the next day in class what I would need to do. so yeah.

i watched the news this morning and they were saying it's "journalists..reporters take your child to work day."
in my area, the university had a day like that.
i didn't go because i don't want to miss school.
