I like the idea of a suggestion forum, at least in part because this is only the second forum I've ever been involved in (and I've been in quite a few, modded three, and actually run one) that doesn't have one. It seems like people are afraid it would turn into a massive hate-fest for the mods or something, but in my experience it hasn't been like that. But then, I haven't been on CB long, maybe y'all are different from other communities I've been in. I don't know.
By the by, I wanted to say that I think the mods are doing a great job. It is my belief that a suggestion forum would actually benefit the mods. Some people say we should just pm a mod or admin with suggestions, but that isn't the most effective way to go. Just a thought, what if someone has a good idea but it has to be changed just a little to be implemented well, but the mods don't know how it would be changed. What if a member did know a good way, and because there was a thread on it in the suggestions forum, were able to suggest a better way where a mod might not necessarily have seen it? I don't know, just an idea.

I think it's a great idea. It will help you get an idea of what the people in CB want and would like to see improve in CB.

I think they should be excused for their sarcastic remarks. Everyone's been a little on edge, especially in light of all the accusations being thrown at us.

I honestly don't think we need a suggestions forum. I'd just go with Rachel's pinned topic idea, but ehh...that's my opinion. =\

You should have just editted it or something because honestly that just seems like you're abusing your powers. Why? Because regular members can't delete posts and now that you did, it looks like Miss[x]Tiff double posted when she didn't.

Just so this isn't spam, I think we should have a suggestions topic where people can post their suggestions however not a whole forum dedicated to it. That would just be pointless because so much spam would build up there. Unless of course every post in there doesn't count towards post count, like Forum Games and Xanga Skins. That might work then.

This has been discussed before. I'm pretty sure there was a whole topic devoted to it. Go search for it. But basically it would just cause problems. There is no need to when we can edit our posts. See how when she deleted it, it caused problems? Left a break in the conversation and made it seem like you had double posted.

it's an okay idea (the forum) as long as it doesn't increase the amount of work for mods by an intolerable amount. i'm mostly just concerned about how much time, effort, and sanity this will take for the mods, that's all.

the forum will be very organized, but it may take more work, and the pinned topic is easier to manage, while it will build up a lot of.. stuff.

I support the idea of a suggestions forum. If we have a pinned thread, it could get rather disorganized. People would just bring in different suggestions, and everything would get mixed up. But if we do have a forum, to prevent spam, we should have it so that if you post there, it wouldn't add to your post count.

Yes, I think we definitely should.
You can refer to one of my older topics on a suggestion forum.

I mean, we should have a ORGANIZED suggestion forum.
Everyone who makes suggestions must elaborate and follow certain rules.

I guess it's a good idea since it gives the members a chance to tell all the mods their opinions and suggestions. I wouldn't mind a forum like that.

a whole forum is pretty useless. maybe you should have a thread in each forum asking for suggestions.

sure, i lean a bit to the side of the mods, but thats because people suddenly decided to start making false assumptions about us, including a certain member i have known for a long time outside cb.

wonder who that could have been? very subtle. lol

anyway, you know how i feel about that, so whatever

the only way we can see whether or not a suggestions forum would work is to try it.
why not run it for two weeks, as someone (i fogot who, dammit, i hoped i would rememeber, bu tobviously not. kudos, anyway) it can always be closed after the trial period if it is CLEARLY a waste of time and effort. it would, of coure, necessitate a seperate set of guidelines, as to what qualifies as a reasonable type suggection or not (no 'fire him or her' and such like)

well from he poll it looks like a support forum will be put in
the only way you can see if any thing will actually work is to try it out, which is a risk all on its own as well, other than that option there is also experience and logic to consult
