Obviously, the whole basis of the Suggestion Forum is so that more members can have an input on others in the communitys' ideas...

Ha yeah what you said =] If its PMed it could just be shot down immediatley and no one else can be influenced by the idea and it wont get any support.

I thought about it some more, and I don't care. Most likely it will be, but I'm fine with it whether it is created or not.

I support this idea. It will give all members an opportunity to voice their opinions and perhaps move this forum in a better direction.

i say yes; it's more organized. however, i think that threads should be closed if no members express interests for a certain amount of time. nobody wants the thread to be cluttered with random ideas. ALSO, members would have to be extra careful not to duplicate topics. ugh.

i think we could have a suggestion forum where there would be a form so people could PM all the mods/admins like the report form thing.

I don't think we should have a forum, but just a pinned topic. I have a feeling that it's going to start arguments. "No, doing so and so is stupid! f**k you!" mellow.gif

it can't be achieved without a forum.

having just a thread is worse than not having anything at all.

I dont understand why its most of the mods saying the members are whineing and things like that. Like its a way to say "yeah now we can shut them up". Im happy crazy jew and Roxx are open to new ideas and are willing to merge their ideas wiht the members of createblog.

theyre not the only ones open to new ideas. however, today i am actually very sick of the whining. some people have pissed me off a lot today, and while it may have had an effect on the way im coming off today, it doesnt mean i am some cold harded bitch of a mod who is completely closed off to any prospect of any changes. i havent even been a mod that long, so i can see both sides. sure, i lean a bit to the side of the mods, but thats because people suddenly decided to start making false assumptions about us, including a certain member i have known for a long time outside cb. no, i dont think radical change can happen over the course of a day. but there is also historcal evidance that when it does, it doesnt work

i think it is a bad idea because almost everyone who posts in there are going to have different ideas and things could get out hand with all the different ideas. i just think we should leave it up the mods and to the GOOD suggestions in moderator performance. =/

why should only the mods have a say when the majority of createblog is the members?

Well, you can't have the majority of cB be the popluation of the moderators.

But that doesn't give the moderators a right to be the only ones to have a say, i hope we resolve this soon because CB is really going down hill...

i think that the problem with CB extends outside of this whole issue of direct democracy, and many people seem to think that genocide of the ignorant is the only was to restore CB to what it was before it got overcrowded. however, this is not possible, not is it fair. so... what shall we do to make CB the way it was before? with the family-ness and all?

I think SOME of the mods should check their atitudes when it deals with members, instead of saying "DEAL WITH IT!" they could try to be more resolving and try to help as much as they can.

Nahh, maybe not a whole entire forum, because people are going to post a few suggestions and be done with it.
Therefore, I conclude that a pinned topic is decent.

Moderators are not the *only* ones to have a say. When did you see something occur (a reasonable event) where the members had absolutely no say?
