Well, then don't ask mods! PM a supermod or an admin. Roxy said that if you have problems or questions or something about the selection process, PM an admin.

i was under the impression that asking mods was wha this thread was for

and ive said that i dont care about the reasons, i just thought it was stupid to wave them under our noses, without saying what they were, in the manner of someone strutting around with their heads up their asses

so only 4 people know why the mods were modded.

then why have people other than these four been assuring us there are rock hard reasons for them to be modded?

just a thought.

did i ever say there were rock hard reasons?

i don't agree with 95% of the new mods chosen. OH FRIGGIN WELL. i can't exactly do anything about it, and it's not my place to.

we know they must have had some reason. i don't know them, but there must have been something they thought was right. i think they're good people to make these decisions, and though i would have made different ones, i'll trust their judgement.

i know you didn't.

i'm complaining about a member that told us there were rock hard reasons a member was chosen to be modded, acting like they know more than we do, and thne [i] not telling us [i] what these reasons are.

i guess this isn't really about moderator preformance, so i'll stop posting here.

Yes, but regular mods don't know the reasons why they were picked. An admin wouldn't reply to something like this in public. That's why you address your concerns to them.

Because they are the leaders. They have the greatest control over the forum/community. Other people are saying it because they trust the admins judgement in that they will choose members that can handle situations in a proper manner. Have you given them a chance to prove themselves worthy of being a mod? I don't think so. It's been what, less than a day...that is in no way enough time to judge someone's moderating abilities.

but most of the members who said that - except roxy- have no idea why they were chosen either. it was a matter of faith

Why are you all even still arguing about this and bringing this up. This is pointless. Arguing and bickering and complaining is not going to do anything except create even more hostility among members and in turn, create more drama which we don't need right now if we're all looking to better CB. Just please stop it already. You want to talk about it, talk it up with one of the admins.

those were my almost exact words in the "new staff members*" topic and the reason why i told you/y'all that is because i trust roxanne, jusun and kim. they are older than most of us here and i am sure they know what they are doing. don't try to use that against the mod choices. mellow.gif

my theory is that the admins/jusun choose people who are friends with anyone and everyone and don't have a specific clique that they're attached to. also, they have been members for a long time, have friendly posts, and display easygoing-ness and willingness for compromise. and they tend to have avatars and images in their signatures. those are my observations based on the choices.

and everything you said is probably what createblog needs in order to make us a "family".

Oh wow, still debating on the "mod" issue? FORGET IT! that's right. It's OVER, the new mods have been chosen and there's ABSOLUTELY NOTHING you can do about it...

95 % don't like the fact that Dani was chosen, including me, BUT give her a chance will you? Like touchmymonkey said, only the admins and global moderators chose/voted for the new staff members, the regular mods didn't, so just stop attacking them.

I think i'm going to get yelled at for this...but oh well, that's how i feel stubborn.gif

Agreed (except about the 95% thing, that's a bit harsh). Everyone just needs to get over it already. The complaining is not going to change anything, we're not going to re-deliberate on our decisions. SO STOP.

I agree with xquizit, sandra, and touchmymonkey. a lot of people have nothing better to do than argue about a decision that has already been made. Pick and chose your battles!

The above topic has been over-discussed.

I think we all have reached our own conclusions of the hiring turnout by now, and if a few of us haven't, well, there isn't much that can be said or done about it.

Please cease to post about the matter of new staff in this thread as of... now.
Let us move on to other matters... thank you.

i think it is fine where it is only because most people would probably use that skin during christmas time instead of just all through out the year. (but that is just how i see it =/ )

There was one old The Night Before Christmas skin that I transferred before and I put it in Movies. I think people associate it as a movie rather than with Christmas.
