The truth? i am VERY shocked that Dani got picked, i mean, i don't really see her in the forums, even though she has over 5 k posts...and i still don't understand how she got picked over James, Anna, Kris ...

HOWEVER...i don't see why we shouldn't give her a chance...everyone deserves a chance...just let her be, please...

Actually, to tell you the truth, I feel sorry for Dani, but it does not give Jusun the power to stand back in the shade, and not say anything, rather have Roxanne say everything. I am tired of Jusun staying behind the shade of his community and his mods. He really needs to come out of it. I'm getting really annoyed.

I've also heard that she was modded twice before (a rumor which I have doubts about, but whatever) and stepped down or was kicked off because she wasn't active enough. Does someone like that really deserve to be part of staff?

Seeing as I read through this entire thread, I wanted to clear this and claim this is a false rumor. On the other hand, I'd have to say that I'm glad the people that were promoted got them except Dani, even though I resisted to bringing new mods in and then later had no say in this (out of my free will, of course). Especially since I've been active over the past few months in the girls' locker room (where Dani usually goes), I've seen what kind of posts she makes. Furthermore, I just think that if one is to promote someone to the status of People Staff, that person should at least know people around the community, hence the title. I don't mean to say IM everyone on AIM constantly, but keep in touch and interact with people. Blah. And I didn't come across this now, but I would've very likely mentioned it to Jusun or Kim if they were online.[/rant]

Yes, Dani does that, but yet again, Jusun needs to come forward. It's been really starting to bug me on how he favors.

I see that the rest of the mods, do not.... persay favor people more than others, which is exactly what I've been craving for.

First Seon Ho, don't get me wrong, he's a nice person, but that's just favoring, especially after what he did in the picture section. Think about it, bashing your own members, is that not worse than a lot of the complaints you have had Jusun?

Second, yes Dani, I feel very sorry because she's being "picked on" but it comes down to whether what you did was right or wrong. Was she not a mod 2 times before, and she left and came back and left and came back. Also, I would like to mention that plenty of the posts.... are pointless? Yes, is thatn ot against the guidelines.

Eh, the members need to have a voice in this. This is turning chaotic just to have the "leaders" voices.

although i do think they wold make much better mods (theyre more active and more a part of the community- nothing to dani personally) i think she was chosen over them in the respect that her not really having friends amoung the staff or other members (although i personally think they should have chosen someone who does interact with the community) because she would theoretically be less biased and partial in situations when the "popular members" that people have been complaining of "get out of hand" or whatever the problem is

What do you mean "like us"? There are plenty of moderators on the Staff now (the old ones) that were really popular and have turned out to be the best mods on the Staff who know how to contain themselves...

i meant a literal "our" that time, since rachel and i partook in those two conversations that i was indirectly referring to. rachel was not a mod at that point, but i was, and i dont think bonding with other members lessened me as a mod. im probably being overly defensive- especially since ive explained this on multiple other topics, but i assume i should clarify

And for those of you who think that they picked friends over people who can do a better job, it's not true. I don't even know any of the mods. I really have no clue at all why they picked me, so please don't think that I was chosen out of popularity, I really do want to help CB improve so please give me a chance. I'll step down though if you all really don't think i deserve to be a mod. Gosh I feel hated. But well thankyou to those who are willing to give me a chance to prove myself.

No, Dani, don't be sad. No one is mad at you. No one hates you. Be happy you were given the position. Just understand that some of us were just frustrated about it all. But that doesn't mean you need to leave the position. Go and prove us wrong. Congrats.

I completely agree Kathleen, which is why in the very first place I was disappointed and a bit angry. Honest, I wasn't angry or jealous because she got picked over me. The fact that she did get chosen when I didn't see her as qualified, is what it was. I guess my understanding of people staff and such was wrong. My apologies.

Frankly, I'm quite sick of it too. Not everything has to do with popularity. People keep bringing up the fact that some of us are angry either because we are jealous or because we thought the more "popular" members should have been chosen. Neither is true. I am not jealous nor do I think that the more "popular" members should have been chosen. But, as Kathleen and someone else has said, I thought that as part of People Staff the person would have to actually know the people in the community. Basically that just means that those that are considered popular know the people in the community because they are known. However, I'm not exactly seeing that with some of those that were chosen, thus I was disappointed. I'm not saying that every single popular member that applied should have been chosen. I mean Jason was relatively popular but in no way does that mean he should have been chosen. I guess all of it might sound like it contradicts a bit, but it's hard to explain what I mean. And yes Rachel, I would have. Obviously those who don't/didn't stand up even against their friends have no reason to have the position because they aren't doing their job. Which is another thing that I had a problem with, although I think it was stated in the Moderator Performance topic so there's no need for repetition.
