Want to know how completely LAME this place is?!?!

Well, I was scheduled to work today, so being the wonderful worker I am, I go in 20 minutes early and get ready. 20 minutes later, the bitch who told me I needed to talk to Kevin comes up to me and says
"Rachel, go home. Come in tomorrow and talk to Kevin."

HOLY SHIT, I wanted to punch her stupid 5'1 ass. It was completey and totally stupid. I just wanted to be like "Well consider this my two weeks notice then bitch". Alas, I am just going to go into tomorrow and say "Hey Kevin, you suck, I quit."

Well I had this one job. mellow.gif

I was waitressing at this cool restraunt and stuff. The pay was cool and the waiters were hot wink.gif , exception was the boss. I was like,
"Hey sure, I can handle this, as long as I don't piss him off."
But then I was serving this one table full of guys. Bad day to work then. mellow.gif
These guys were soo obnoxious and kept on grabbing my ass and trying to make me sit on their lap. I told my boss this and he was like,
"If the customers want to grab your ass, go ahead and let them. Its all aboutt he customers."
I was like,
"Wooooah hold up. This is a restraunt. I am not gonna degrade myself by doing that."
So then he fired me on the spot because I wasnt "thinking of the customers". _dry.gif

And to think the boss was my uncle. _dry.gif

aw, rachel im sorry :( yah you should apply to a job that you like.

I don't hate my job really. It gets my mind off things, but its atleast a 7 hour shift with no break, but it doesn't bother me cuz when things get busy or hectic you don't even think about food lol. But i guess i like it, I get happy when i balance all the money out at the end of the day :) lol, i go for records to see how many days straight i can do it. So far it's only 3, but i'll do better ;) hehe. But if i had a choice i would rather work at Borders or somethan. I'm much better with retail, cuz it doesn't have all that insurance and medical stuff i can't stand. lol But i don't think i'll be quitting this job anytime soon.

I am definently going to get a better job. I am going to turn in my application to Staples. May not sound better but it is. I will get paid $0.50 more and will have more hours.

SCREW YOU OLD PERSONS HOME!
*

i worked at an old persons' home too...i have no idea what i was supposed to be but i signed up for bookcart, i never got to touch a book much less see any _dry.gif

the nurses took advantage of me, they'd make me watch the elderly folks!!! that's not what i was supposed to do, i'm supposed to do clerical work...plus those old people were really rude to me. this one woman isn't supposed to get up, i don't know why, and there's this wire attatched to her sweater and if she stands up it will go off, so i would try to make her sit back down and she freaked out on me and started yelling at me cry.gif

after that i was afraid of her and the nurses would make fun of me stubborn.gif it was only a summer job so i only had it for about 2 months. i hated it, those people smelled horrible too.

I know I'm only 12, but when my mom worked at an animal hospital, the groomer needed someone to assist her so she hired me (mind you I was only 9 at the time). I had the job of bathing, drying, & shaving down dogs. It was fun, although at times it was pretty rough when we had spaz dogs, or a day with 15-20 dogs.

QUOTE(mzkandi @ Apr 23 2005, 12:33 PM)
Oh man hated my last job with the truest passion. I was a waitress at this retirement home. I thought it would be a peaceful, friendly environment, but NO! The old people were the racist people I have ever met in my life. Most of them, no all of them, were white and they called me and all the black waitresses "niggers", not by our names, but niggers, coons, black birds, you name it. And we had to take verbal abuse and smile. We complained to the mangers but they were just like "They're old and stuck in their ways, dont mind them. I finally got fed up when this one old geezer that told me"all you lazy niggers make me sick, i have been waiting on my food for 5 minutes" Oh I just smiled and "accidently" dropped his tray of food on him and told the manager I quit.
*

my great great aunt does that at her "home". i can't stand it. i don't even like it when people call african-americans "black" because i have never in my whole life seen a "black" person. it makes me cringe every time she says the n-word. i would slap her if she wasn't so fricken old _dry.gif .

Sorry to hear about all you other guys, i would have broken down the first day at the retirement home. you all can put up with alot, i admire that. be strong!!

I don't hate my job at all. It's my first job ever and I'm getting paid 7/h. It's at this place called "Bulid-a-Bear Workshop". It's really fun, hardly any stress (if any)
All my coworkers are really nice and they put up with and make no big deal about my noobish mistakes.
Google it if you want, i'm not going to post a link here.
Kid stores are really easy, unless you can't stand children. You don't even have to be outgoing, i'm like the shyest person there is and i'm doing great =]
