...

i.e also means "in other words", which can be used to express "for example", in my opinion. I guess it depends on the context?

Alright... Hmm... okay... lets end the off-topic-ness... yea? sweating.gif

Honestly, I think you guys are doing a good job.

How did Daehong, Hubert, and klumzy get on design staff? I don't remember seeing them post in that design staff application thread; and most of them joined this month..

I agree. We need a better verbal warning system. As was reading the cb hiring thread it seems some members are giving the impression that some members (particularly older, well known members) are not punished the same as newer member. This includes spam and member bashing ect. I have also been under this impression at time too. I dont care if you were first member here, or voted most popular boy/gal on cb, if you break rules, you need to be punished the same as everyone else. Member in May 2004 vs a member in Jan 2005, doesnt matter.

a verbal warning needs to be denoted...

like a yellow card.

Problem is noted.

It is said in the moderator guideline that verbal warnings should be PMed to the individual being warned. That is our yellow card.

but does it denote it to other mods?

i think after a certain number of verbal warnings(in a day), a member should be suspended for a day.

because if you manage to get, say, 5 verbal warnings in a 24 hour period, you're trying to break rules.

^ I still think that a member should receive a proper warning before any suspension happens, though.

But I like the idea of having some sort of sign on a member that they have been verbally warned, so that the other mods (who didn't verbally warn them) know that so they can increase their warn level if they further break rules.

i agree with gigi... maybe warn level should be made visable to all mods, if it isnt already?

The warn levels are visible, but there's no way for us to know if someone has been VERBALLY warned; that's the problem.

^ that is a good idea. stick something backstage where mods can post anyone who they have given a warning to, and when ever someone feels that a member deserves action taken against them, they can check to see what 'level' they are on
