I've been asking some people what their favorite foods are, and they would list alot of different kinds of food, but the main thing that was so repetitive in their lists was RICE. I mean, I eat rice everyday, it's just a typical thing for me. BUt then again, it gets SO SICKENING to eat it every single day, every night. And on the weekends, I eat it ALL DAY. Okay I realize that there are different kinds of side dishes that you can put with the rice, such as steamed broccoli, fried fish, or some type of soup. I know this is odd, considering I'm asian and all, but I'm beginning to HATE rice.

I know that alot of Asians as well as other ethnicities, have rice as a main dish. Then you have different side dishes in which to add onto rice. Rice is somewhat healthy and it seems that people are saying that they like rice alot. But what if you had to eat that ALL DAY? I mean, many asians probably eat rice for dinner every night, and it's becoming a daily routine. But for me, I ate rice even when I was young, when I was like probably 2 years old or something.

To me, rice is so typical, and it's really boring to eat the same thing everyday. Sure, once every week, I might have noodles, or spring rolls, or something like that, but when it all comes down, the rice cooker is still steaming the rice and waiting for the rice to be eaten. There's nothing in my house to eat, except Asian food, which somehow deals with eating rice.

Anyone feel this way? Does anyone ever get tired of eating rice?

are you kidding me? Rice is essential. Anywhere you go, you gotta have rice.

List of cultures who eat rice:

ASIANS #1
Latinos #2, ESPECIALLY BRAZIL
Native Indians
East Indians

And here in America, I go to Old Country Buffet - what do they got? Rice.
Rice is the word! Taco is so 5 minutes ago.

Good combo: Rice and Beans. Rice and Eggs. Rice and Steak. Get the ultimate combo!: Rice with Beans, Eggs, and Steak! Be sure to be near a bathroom.

please refrain from any foul language, if possible, please.

Anyways, I'm just sick of rice. When you eat it alot, you will get tired of it. Sure, I mean, I will stille at it, but lately I've been eating less and less. Rice is fattening, at times. It's good, I guess, but not alot of it. I'd probably only eat a tiny bowl of it if I was offered it...

I like rice..kinda...I have rice every dinner. It gets extremely old though. And I hate the fact that the flavor of rice depends on the other dishes. You can never eat rice by itself.

I eat almost anything with rice. It's like... The water for a soup. You can't have a soup w/o the water right?

Oh I see, a hyperbole. People can live without rice, you're exaggerating. Anyhow i tend to like this so called "white people food", but what are you really trying to say, anyway? I mean, wht can u possibly classify as "white food?" Exactly. I never said I hated rice that wI wouldn't eat it. I just hate eating it so much over and over again. But peopel constantly say they love it. Yes, slipper, you are quite correct on your simile. It is like the "water of soup" but it's just that when you have it so much, it gets boring... But I eat it because there's not much else to eat. Just dishes you can have with it, but i loathe having something too much. Eating something over and over again repeatedly sort of ruins the food... Well in my case it does.
