Mutual Trust between students at your school?, in your opinion... Options

you can leave your things in some placesand be fairly certain that they won't get stolen, but not others. for example, i can leave my gym bag ontop of the lockers in the girls locker room all day and nothing will happen to it. but if i leave my bag outside, i can almost promise something will be taken. things are stolen every day at my school--books, money, shoes, clothes, ipods.. anything. oh, and i go to private catholic school.

This should be in the Debate Forum. Well I have no Lock since my other one died. And i leave my cellfone in there. I don't bother getting another Lock. But once when i opened my locker, there was lip gloss smugged onto my school-bag. I was pissed...

For the most part, yes. People don't feel the need to lie and cheat in our school.

hey i go to a private school - doesn't mean it's safe - students still steal and people still come onto the grounds and steal stuff - kids are just as greedy - i wld never leave my stuff lying around - ur just asking for it to be stolen (plus i wld probably forget where i left it and lose it )

at my school, there is no trust at all. The njrotc building used to be a trustful place, but last year, i had my money stolen twice on different occasions, and my cell phone was stolen also [however, i did get that back because whoever took it left it in my teacher's/senior naval instructor's office two days after it was stolen]. this year though, the stealing has stopped, so i guess it's a little trust worthy, but i dont leave my stuff alone anymore after the incident last year. and by the way, my school is public.

Well..my school....is one big family. However, if you do leave your bokbag in the hall. No one will mess with it. But...if we know who it belongs to...we normally put stuff in it..example, a roll of toilet paper, ya know just small teeny harmless fun pranks. nothing major

In my school; there is alot of racism. And that leads to things being stolen. For example, many hispanics tend to pick on Asians. They steal things from them. My friend had her cellphone stolen recently. I could leave my bookbag out in the open in the yard, but i have to be near it.

no...i cant leave anything unattended in my school cause there are some stupid people who dont care about anything about themselves...once someone stole my friends candy box that he had to sell for school...

Well, my school has some pretty judgemental people in it, so I think it would depend more on your reputation and who you are.

No way. You can trust your friends, but that is about it.
I have had my backpack stolen twice, and once my cell phone was stolen from out of my trumpet case (thankfully the person was ignorant, my cell was worth $100, my trumpet is worth over $5,000).

lol yeah msot of my schol is one big family. we all stick together and watch eachothers back and everything. there a few crackheads who nobdy trusdts but just a few,other than that we got eachother.

public school. trust is nonexistent here. i can't even leave my pencil or eraser alone.

which is why every time i bring my cello to school i lock it in a room. i'm considered staff even though i'm a student, so i've got plenty of authority around. power is very good.

nope. 800+ students at my mid school and they'll do anything to your stuff even if it isnt worth something

you can trust ppl most of the time to turn things into the lost and found and stuff like that... i accidentally left my CD player on the bench in the locker room when i was packing up my stuff and it was in the lost and found for months... lol i just realized it was there but then again some ppl get stuff stolen if they leave them out so... it depends on the ppl. most are trustworthy
