A lot of people say The Postal Service's songs are a bit techno-y (even I do) but Death Cab uses beats/synthesizers in some of their songs too, so it's hard to call. Both bands just have a really distinct different sound -- maybe it's because TPS is a bit more upbeat while Death Cab is more mellow and serious? Ack, I'm getting lost in my own gibberish. i think both of these bands are amazing.
The Postal Service is a little more..new age...and different. death cab is more emotional, and the lyrics are amazing.  just my opinon. they both have a lot to them.
